My Thoughts
I am the biggest fan of Rob Zombie. Well, compared to my friends, I'm the biggest. I joined the troupe of Zombie worshippers around the time he went solo with Hellbilly Deluxe in 1999. I knew nothing of his White Zombie days. And his movie, House of 1000 Corpses was brilliant. Just a wonderful viewing experience.
So, I was psyched for this package. It includes 6 tracks from White Zombie, 6 from Hellbilly Deluxe and The Sinister Urge, two from the 1000 Corpses soundtrack, and five other various tunes. It all makes for a super listening experience.
The only real experience I had with the White Zombie stuff was "More Human Than Human", and its a great song. So, the first 6 tracks were really a new experience for me. "I'm You're Boogie Man" is pretty goddamn good too. After that, "Hands of Death" featuring Alice Cooper and "The Great American Nightmare" featuring Howard Stern begin the Rob Zombie solo experience. And the 6 classic tracks from his solo discs are the cream of the crop. Still, "Dragula" is my favorite of those.
Next, it has probably my favorite track on the entire album, "Brick House 2003" from the 1000 Corpses soundtrack. Its so aweseome! After "Pussy Liquor", we get his version of "Blitzkreig Bop" and two new tracks which don't stray far from the usual Rob Zombie mix.
Well, enough gushing. I'm givin it a 5. Its just like any other greatest hits package from my favorite artists. Just super music, great for driving to.
