My Thoughts
After their debut in 2003, Three Days Grace made one hell of a splash. They're music was dark and edgy, if only a little repetative, and I was really satisfied with it. With such a gap between the first disc and this, I was getting a little worried on whether or not they were actually going to release another one. In the spring, they released a new single, "The Animal I Have Become". Its hard-hitting, and has a good beat to it. It was a little less raw than their first stuff, but it was all right.
The rest of the album, once it came out, actually trumps the first one. It has a more mature sound, sure its a little polished, but its still pretty intense. Tracks like "Pain", "Riot", and "Over And Over" stand out, but the rest of the disc is still excellent. It has better pacing than the last, and is not quite as repetative. I like this one better. Told you I saw great things from this band.
Its getting a 5.
