My Thoughts
First, pop music is not really my area of interest. However, I was in my favorite store and it was playing overhead....I liked what I heard. The first single, "Are You Happy Now?" is a complete departure from anything else she has done, and hooked me at the first listen. I totally respect Branch as an artist, she does her own music and writing, and actually has more talent than the average pop star.
The rest of the album slips a little into mediocraty, but all in all its a solid listen. Nice and fluffy, and at the same time a little edgy. Her talent is undeniable, and my respect for her grows all the time. And it doesn't hurt that she's easy on the eyes.
I'm givin this one a 4 out of 5. Yay, pop music!
