My Thoughts
More commenly known as Nickelback II, or, in my circle of friends, Theory of a Nickelfault, these Canadian boys have shed Chad Kroeger and his influence for their second effort. Their first, according to me, anyway, was an enjoyable, if bitter, outing and showed that Kroeger could groom talent. This album demonstrates that this talent doesn't need Kroeger to be successful.
The bitterness contnues here, with the signature track, "No Surprise", and "Hating Hollywood". They really rock on this album, and they also show just a small peak at their softer side. My favorite track is "Quiver", mostly because the tempo and the changes are unique. The passion is most definatly there, and Tyler Connely, the frontman, has the chops to make it all the way. Its a hell of an album, and much better than the last. Its getting a 5.
