My Thoughts
First off, and let's get this clear, this is the album of the year. I've mentioned it before that I loved the first single, "Bring Me To Life", and when I bought this album in April, I was blown away by the rest of it. They go from Hard rockin stuff like "Going Under" and "Haunted" to spine tingling ballads like "My Immortal" and "My Last Breath". They have already been through some controversy, being called a Christian band by critics and lashing out in opposition to that claim. They don't promote an actual Christian belief in thier music. They aren't heavy-handed like Creed. If there is a message, its hidden too deep for me to see.
Anyway, these new-comers deserve accolades for the fresh new music they produce. I'd give them best new band, best single, and best album if it were up to me. And, you guessed it, 5 of 5 stars.
