My Thoughts
After lead singer Dave Williams was found dead on the band's tour bus in 2002, I thought this band was done. They're first album, Sinner, spawned the very fun single "Bodies". WWE used their music during that first year of release, so that's the extent of my exposure to them pre lead singer's death. After that, they enlisted the help of Rob Zombie for a single on the Daredevil soundtrack.
The first single from this album was featured on the Punisher soundtrack, with new lead singer Jason "Gong" Jones. Its a killer single, and very much a sign of things to come for the rest of the album. Its very hard-hitting, heavy, and slightly depressing. But, I enjoy every single minute of it. Mr. Jones sounds very similar to the former Mr. Williams, so there is quite a lot of continuity to the sound. There are some slightly tender tracks, but mostly, its all rumble and gravel. Quite a unique listening experience. And, its getting a 4.
