a girl of the Fjord serves food.....drink......sex(if unrestricted) .......and conversation each of these are equally important and a part of her life as Steading bond-maid

(1) When not serving and there are Masters/Mistresses present a slave will ask to serve. A slave will ask each One not being served or not served recently individually by name.

(2) Do not talk to/greet others while serving (the exception to this is one's own Master/Mistress and then only greetings)

(3) Keep posts from between 6 to 8 lines at most to hold attention (again, a slave will develop their own style.

(4) Be pleasing and attentive, even if one doesn't like the One they are serving. A slave is serving to Honor their home and their Master or Mistress, not to please themselves.

(5) Give a Master/Mistress time to be welcomed to the Steading, and to offer Their greetings, and then offer to serve.

(6) There is to be creativity and talent appropriate to the level of personal learning shown in each post a slave makes to a Master/Mistress.

(7) Be very descriptive (i.e. crystal goblet, etc.) Use words that make the Master/Mistress see what one is doing. Mild flirting is allowed, even encouraged (i.e. looking over one's shoulder, under one's lashes, smiling, etc.

(8) Everyone is offered a serve, not just one's favorite Master/Mistress. Do not wait for One Master/Mistress in particular to come online, offer to serve everyone. If there are only a few in the room, offer by name.

(9) DO NOT forget about the Mistresses!!! They get hungry and thirsty just like the Masters, and They are equally appreciative of a slave's ability to serve!

(10) Heated serves(serves that test the vessel or drink below the waist) are good for experienced slaves, but if one serves with heat, one should be prepared to use it.(i.e. be prepared to serve sexually) one should not offer what they are not prepared to give. If a slave is restricted, or not comfortable with fully serving a Master or Mistress, as the case may be... discuss that with the Free in PM...training slaves or white silk slaves DO NOT serve with heat.

DRINK SERVES

Following are some ways to serve different drinks on Gor. These are not the only ways and it should be noted that a slave's creativity in serving is the key to excellence. These are here strictly to help in knowing what utensils are proper for each type of drink.

MEAD:
a femented honey wine
Items needed to serve: mead horn, bottle or bota of mead, tapped from the cask in the chillery.
Serve style:Horn and bota are brought before the Master. Horn is brought between thighs and the mead is poured in. Then a sip is taken and the horn is pressed to the slaves heart for the space of three heart beats, brought to the lips and the rim is kissed to show love. A variation of this is to take the Mead horn(if you are a slave girl) and to turn it in a circle letting the rim brush against your slave heat so your juices can also flavor the rim.. When testing, ensure the curve of the horn is facing down, or you will end up drinking the entire horn. Served as the Free wishes it (room temperature or chilled).

PAGA:
the Gorean eqvuilent to beer (it's brewed, not fermented like hard liquor)
Items Needed To Serve: Footed paga bowl. Bota of paga.
Serve Style: Bowl and bota are brought before the Master. Bowl is brought between thighs and the paga is poured in. Then a sip is taken and the bowl is pressed to the slaves heart for the space of three heart beats, brought to the lips and the rim is kissed to show love. A variation of this is to take the paga bowl (if you are a slave girl) and to turn it in a circle letting the rim brush against your slave heat so your juices can also flavor the rim.

SUL-PAGA:
alcohol made from suls (Vodka) Items Needed To Serve: Footed paga bowl and a bota of sul-paga.
Serve Style: Same as above for paga.

KA-LA-NA:
Ka-la-na is a red wine that is served at room temperature.
Items Needed To Serve: A goblet and a bota. Ice chips are in the cold room in a barrel if required to chill the wine or one can just chill the goblet by placing it in the ice for a bit.
Serve Style: The kalana wine is poured in the goblet in the servery..a slave holds the goblet to them and returns to the Master. Taking a sip then pressing the goblet to the heart for three beats and kissing the rim.

KAL-DA:
A distilled kalana wine in a copper pot hanging over the firepit to continually kept steaming hot.
Items Needed To Serve: A goblet, the steaming wine, juices, and spices.
Serve Style: After ladling the goblet full, the juices from the tangy sweet topsit are added and some fiery spices sprinkled on top. The spices are kept in a silver tin on the servery counter. Served the same as ka-la-na.

BLACKWINE:
A very expensive drink. served dark(plain), light(with bosk milk), sweet(white or yellow sugar added) or light and sweet.
First Slave means with cream and sugars, Second Slave means black.
Items Needed To Serve: A blackwine mug, the appropriate condiments and tray.
Serve Style: Get the tray, ladle the mug with blackwine that is brewing over the firepit. Place the items needed to flavor the drink and a spoon on the tray. Take the tray to the Master, kneel and fix the drink to their request. If the drink is to be served dark then ladle the blackwine into the mug and just take it to the Master. Serve as above for ka-la-na.

GOREAN ALE:
fermented bevearge made from grain (Beer)
Items Needed To Serve: Chilled tankard and bottle of ale.
Serve Style: Chill tankard in ice barrel. Fill tankard at the Masters feet. Serve same as for ka-la-na.

BAZI TEA:
non achoholic tea
Items Needed To Serve: Three small bazi cups. white and yellow sugar, teapot of steeping bazi leaves, hot water and a tray.
Serve Style: Place the teapot, cups and sugars on tray. Kneel at Masters feet. Flavor to the Master's taste and serve each cup one at a time.

TA-WINE:
fermented white wine of the Ta grape
Items Needed To Serve: Goblet and a bottle of ta-wine.
Serve Style: Pour wine at the Masters feet. Serve the same as ka-la-na.
