Sooooooooooo Y/ya wanna join the Fjord eh?.......
Well here are a few things Y/ya need to know and understand.....

Read thru this and if Y/ya still wanna join come see the Jarl, a Council Member, or the Jarl's Woman and We'll fix ya up.....

Membership Requirements

THIS IS GOR, not Avalon, or Vampire play, or Werewolves, or a room for Magic Bob the Shapeshifting Talking Dog *G*. This is NOT hardcore BDSM either, though there are elements of that here. If Y/you cannot distinguish between Dom/sub and Master/slave, this is NOT the room for Y/you. . If Y/you wish to play in that type of room, great! There are many fine rooms on the sites for Y/you. If Y/you wish to play on Gor too, great...only choose a DIFFERENT character, and leave Y/your non-Gor titles, avs and personalities at home.

Troublemakers: Any P/person causing trouble and disturbances in Our Room or that of another will be warned by a Council Member or the Jarl and the incident reviewed. If the problem continues, and it is determined that the M/member is the cause of the problem T/they will get an official warning. If the problem is not corrected, the Council will meet and determine a course of action that May but not necessarily result in that M/member's expulsion from the room.

Dual Personas: Means having two or more personas currently running in Gor rooms on any chat site. Dual Personas are basis for either refusal of Membership, or expulsion from Membership. This is not to say that Y/you cannot successfully carry out two separate roles, simply that O/one’s loyalty cannot be given to two Gor rooms.

FW Rarius: There is no such thing in Torvaldsland as a FW Rarius. nor are there Female Warriors

Multiple Castes: Not recognized in Torvaldsland. A Free is born into a Caste. There are no Healer/Rarius/Builder/Initiate/Scribes here.

NOTE: We do not accept Any Frees from the Caste of Assassins or the Clan of Torturers. Assassins have no homestone, and Torturers are only in Cities or in the Paravaci Wagon Camps. There are No FW Warriors in Torvaldsland so please dont ask

For both Frees and slaves: visit and interact with the camp for regular visits over a two week probationary period.

1) Approach the Jarl , the Jarl’s Woman or a Council Member and state Your desire to become a member.

2) All new Rarius will spar with a Member of the Jarl’s choice to determine if You fully understand the rules and conduct of Gorean fighting.

3) The Council will meet to determine if You fit in comfortably with the Steading, and if You know enough of the basics of Gor and Torvaldsland, and will get back to You with an answer.

Once Membership is Approved

1) We expect Y/you to show up at least three hours per week to play.

2) Any Frees new to Gor will receive a Mentor, a Member of Torvaldsland who will coach and help You through the transition. FW must attend FW class (taught right here) and be proclaimed a FW before getting their profession. All Frees will have a suitable Caste, which contributes to the running and prosperity of the Steading.

3) If you are a slave, you will undergo training and/or testing by the Trainer.

4) All Frees are expected to use the bond-maids and thralls (in the capacity they are allowed), even if they are not Your personal slave. Give them tasks to do, let them serve You food, drink and conversation. These slaves work hard at what they do, and to ignore them is not only an insult to their service, but reflects poorly upon You as a Master/Mistress.

5) All slaves, (bond-maids and thralls) are to ask to serve, even if it is not your Master/Mistress. Do not ignore Visitors and Honoured Guests, greet Each by name. If no Free requires service, make yourself useful. Ask a Free what you might do, or be creative and start a task. We want you to be able to play and have fun, not sit around being bored.

6) All slaves are required to come in even if your Master/Mistress is not here. Nothing lowers the value of a slave here quicker, than the slave who ONLY comes in when their Master/Mistress is in camp. If you do this often, don’t be surprised if O/others start ignoring you.

7) Remember, Y/you now belong to the proud and mighty Torvaldsland Steading of Vanir’s Fjord. Ensure Your conduct reflects Our ways, and brings only honour to the good name of the P/people who live here.

Welcome Home!
