Stewed Dried Corn
- 2 cups Cope's dried corn
- 4 cups water
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 T. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup milk
Preparation -
In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, soak the dried corn in
water over night, or use boiling water
and soak it for approximately 1 hour. Add the brown
sugar, butter & salt. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for about 30
minutes. Add the milk and simmer for about 10 more
minutes before serving.
