Okay, let's start with Amarice - she’s really been a good addition, and I think what we all thought was going to happen, is. Our dynamic duo are getting to act SOLID with each other, and TPTB are able to write us some good serious scenes while Amarice provides the comedy here and there, with some pretty good lines & looks - it’s really worked out to be a great combo! I hope she’s used to all the episodes she signed for too. I’m also waiting for Hudson to show up again, and since the Herc episode with Hudson being in it got all screwed up, they could still use her as Amarice’s sister. How about this one - Amarice dies at the end of the season (got a new show - have to go out with a bang) - and Calli shows up to pick her up (so to speak) and bring her into the light (luckily she’s not really an Amazon, and we won’t have to search 12 realms for where she went....). X & G’s talk about letting Gabby go because she loves the child as her own, was not only a favorite scene of mine, but I felt the hint of a little fore-shadowing. Perhaps the baby will turn out to be partially hers?????

So, here’s some questions for the public - when X tells G she won’t let her go fight Alti because she’s seen too many of her friends have their hearts ripped out - who in the world is she talking about? I have racked my brain (all 2 seconds of it) - and can not remember anyone X was friends with that Alti has killed?

And, our dynamic gal Gabby has now just broken all kinds of X:WP records! She has successfully died twice, and come back to life inside of just six episodes! AMAZING! And that mouth to mouth deal (FF&G & ITADITH) never ceases to work for the great WP! No wonder Xena tells Gabby it’s not her destiny to die - it really hasn’t been for 5 seasons now!

Now, a little peeve - once again TPTB skip mentioning a character that played a major role in a previous episode (anyone over 15 minutes in the same role is how I judge that….). Why doesn’t Xena ask where in the world Oteri is? (I know she didn’t appear because she was filming as Ricky Schroeder’s new love interest, which would have kept me away as well); but they at least could have mentioned her. This was the same type of thing that annoyed me with Endgame, and the not mentioning Xenon after Ephiny’s death.

Another question, was it my imagination, or did it seem to take much longer to cross over to the spirit world this time than in AITST 1&2? And there certainly was some major traffic problems to the spirit world in this episode

Amarice’s face was priceless during the "ritual dance" scenes - very funny; as well as Yakut answering Amarice’s sarcastic little quip of "Let me guess, she saw it in a vision...".

Once again, Alti is all "maintext" when it comes to her & Xena. Nothing hidden in her comments (roll the eyes). The best is Alti’s use of the chokehold. She has really mastered this! (not unlike the swinging tree stump idea, which she obviously knows Gabby has mastered from Succession). Poor Gabby is always being choked and held about 10 feet up off the ground - good news is, no time for bad visions this time around.

I also think Alti would have found more success in killing Gabby if she would just learn that you only count to 3 when giving an ultimatium - not 10. She afforded Gabby WAY TOO much time - this saved her life, and if she were a mother, would have lost her the upper hand with her child! Let's all say it together

The effects were great - and brought back memories of the great "Jason and the Arganautts" fighting with the skeletons. I loved the flips and kicks.... etc.... very fun to watch!

All in all, I’d have to day Them Bones, Them Bones, has it all! I really like this one as "best for the season so far" (IMHO), and it’s high up the list of my all time favorites.... and Saran, again I concur, when will that horsey get a name? (Luckily it only took Gabby 1 week to get use the horse, so she could ride very long distances!) Apparently Amarice has a nice horse for when they must ride long distances. I’m not really sure where she keeps it, because she obviously doesn’t let it consort with Argo. (2 horse family, is 3? or doesn’t Xena count Amarice.....)
