HOLIDAY

What a beautiful day for a party. Everyone has worked for the last 2 days setting up our little cove for this day.

Every one is here, except Queen Cyan, Princess Vicky, Princess Eponie and Olympia, the Enforcer. They have been in a meeting all morning, and will be down when they have finished.

I came down with Melissa, our littlest and cutest Amazon. We’ve been building sand castles. Corde, Tinka, Saran and Visioness have been setting up the food and drink area. there is enough yummy food here for several days.

Labris, Rae and Larc have got the volley ball court and ready for play. Mad Matt and Stud Muffin are in a boat. They are trying to see who can throw the other out.

We haven’t had this much fun since the last time Queen Cyan declared a holiday. If someone were to look in from the outside, they could neve imagine who we are or what we do.

We all have been handpicked more or less, by our queen, to form her tribe. We all have different stories of our life and how we came here. Each story an amazing one.

As for me, and my story. Its hard to tell I’m not the story teller, but I will tell you mine.

My name Is Ashana, and I am the healer of this amazing tribe. I also am an elder as well. At this time I am the oldest member of the tribe.

I come from the Brittany Isles. I was raised in a similar tribe. Our tribe however were also priestesses, which means we were all taught the healing arts as well as learning to fight.

As a youth, I was not interested at all in learning about herbs or how to make medicine or what a poultice is for. How to suture wounds. I was not a good student at this part of my training. But like all others of my age I did learn.

I was a very good warrior. I enjoyed a good fight. I enjoyed the sounds of a battle. I loved winning a battle.

As you grew older in our tribe, we kind of separated into those of us who would fight and those who would become full time healers. My daughter Briann also chose my side of the tribe as a warrior. The two of us became quite a team. I was very proud of her. I thought I had a perfect life.

During the year of my daughter’s 16th year. I volunteered to go on a scouting trip that lasted for about a month. My daughter chose to stay behind on this trip.

When we returned from our scouting trip. We found our village destroyed. Everyone that had remained behind had been murdered. From the looks of what had been done, we were pretty sure that it was the barbarians from the north that had done this. We started burying our dead.

The others decided that we should seek revenge for our families. I couldn’t. I felt dead. I didn’t think that killing these people would make it better. I decided to bury my weapons with my daughter. I no longer could be a warrior, not without my daughter, not without Briann.

I started traveling by myself. After awhile I came to a village that was being destroyed by an epidemic. Their healer had died of this disease a week earlier. It was horrible.

I couldn’t leave. I had to help. Everything I had ever learned came back. I also found out that when I put my hands on a patient, they started feeling better. After about a week there finally was a turn a round. People started getting better. In another week it was decided the epidemic was over. I stayed long enough here to teach a basic learning of healing until they could find a permanent healer. They begged me to stay, but I couldn’t.

I started out again, but as a very different person. The pain of my loss was still there but I knew now I was going to survive. I had a new purpose in my life. I felt more alive that I ever had.

I went all over the world, healing when I was needed. I also met many many great healers who taught me as I travelled. Now I can not get enough. I read everything I can. I travel as much as I can to learn something new.

It was during one of my trips, that I met Queen Cyan. She was queen of a new tribe and needed a healer. She talked for quite a while about her tribe. I decided it was time. I needed a home. I needed a family again. I decided to follow her and her tribe.

This is a remarkable tribe. This is a remarkable place that we now call home. I made the right decision. I even have an assistant now.

Chakras. She ran up to our shop to get bandaids. She is very funny and

keeps me laughing. As everyone

here does.

Today as I said, if you were to look in on this place. You could never realize that hanging in every hut here is hanging a war mask. You would never guess that every one down here on the beach is a warrior. That up in the queens hut, that a battle is being planned. That as hard as everyone plays here is as hard as they fight.

Ah, here comes the queen and her princesses. The work is finally done. Tomorrow we probably go to war. Today we play. Wake up Marissa here comes you mom.
