General construction rules

Chassis and suspension must be steel components, no aluminium suspension or rearend parts allowed, no coilover shocks allowed. I.M.C.A. style cars are recommended.
Four-wheel hydraulic brakes are required in working order.
All required rollcage material must be minimum 1.66 OD steel tubing with a minimum of .095 wall thickness. All rollcages must be attached to the frame in a minimum of six places. No part of the rollcage may protrude outside body (side nerf bars and bumpers may not extend outside tires). The main hoop must have a minimum of one horizontal brace at approximately mid height and be a minimum of three inches above the driver's head. One center bar in the roof hoop is required. Three driver side door bars with two uprights between each, continuing to the frame, are required. Two passenger side door bars are required. A horizontal dash bar and a pillar bar on the driver's side are mandatory.
4. Bodies and Interiors
All body panels must be securely fastened and neatly painted with an easily read number on both sides. It is recommended that all cars resemble I.M.C.A. modifieds.
Interiors must enclose driver from engine, driveline components, and the track and be sealed against fire. Interiors must be sealed from the door on the left to the door on the right, from the back of the hood to the front of the trunk lid.
Seats must a racing type seat (no factory type seats allowed) mounted securely with back support. Seatbelts are to be five point racing type mounted securely to the seat frame, rollcage, and/or frame. Shoulder belts must be mounted lower than the driver's shoulders. A quick release window net mounted to the rollcage is mandatory on the driver's side. All cars must have a windshield or protective screen and one center windshield bar minimum 1" or two minimum 1/4". All bars that a driver may contact must be padded. The battery must be mounted securely no lower than the frame rails. Maximum fuel tank size is ten gallons, fuel cell may be thirty two gallons. All fuel containers must be securely mounted between the frame rails and no lower than the lowest part of the frame. All fuel containers must be protected from contact by another car. All cars must have a minimum two-pound fire extinguisher mounted securely in a quick release bracket.
Block must be stock cast iron unit. Crank and oiling system must be stock type parts. Heads must be cast iron. Factory type valve train only, no roller rockers. Any flat tappet cam may be used, no roller lifters allowed. Maximum of one four barrel carburetor. No electric fuel pumps. Stock type distributor ignition only (no magnetos). All cars must have working starters. Exhaust must exit behind driver or outside of body.
7. Drive train
Transmissions must be OEM type with forward and reverse gears. Clutches must have a scattershield. Steel driveshafts only with a safety loop near the rear universal. Differential must be a solid axle unit.
8. Wheels and Tires
Aftermarket steel wheels are mandatory with eight-inch maximum width. Bead locking devices allowed on the right rear only. Tires must be an I.M.C.A. stamped G60 or a DOT stamped tire not exceeding 275/60 series.
