An assignment in 2002. We had to reproduce a picture using grid and transfer. I chose this picture from a postcard
I got from San Francisco's Bastille Cafe in 1998. Charcoal. |
Another assignment in 2002. Composition is based on Edward Hopper's Chop Suey. Charcoal. |
My fifth piece for perspective drawing. Based on one of the photos in my Photography section... it was too
rainy to go out to a real landscape so I had to do it this way. Alphacolor Char-Kole & Conte. |
Fourth piece for perspective drawing. Also based on a photo. In real life the tones are actually much richer...
this looks kind of watered down. Alphacolor Char-Kole & Conte. |
My second piece for Perspective Drawing. Everyone keeps thinking this was done with watercolor. :P India Ink & Conte. |
My first piece for Perspective Drawing. Kind of boring but I like the onion, garlic, and spoon. Charcoal. |
Did this on Valentine's Day 2003... I decided to concentrate on my line quality. Turned out pretty nice, I think. Ink. |
I really like this piece. Then again I have an obsession with skeletons so that's to be expected, I suppose. Funny thing is that
I hated this piece when I first finished it. I thought I overdid it. Then I looked at it two days later and loved it. Conte. |
A study of clasped hands. Ink. |
A quick five-minute composition exercise. The dance of death. Conte. |
A study of a shoulder that came out pretty nice. Ink. |
The same guy that's lounging below. Ink. |
Some guy lounging. Shrug. Ink. |
Guy looks stern. I just liked the attitude here. Conte. |
A decent study of a costumed torso. Ink. |
This was a quick exercise. We had to draw with our backs to the model and do the drawing from memory. Conte. |

This was an image I did for the Neopets art gallery. It was the first computer-colored image I ever did and taking that
into consideration I think it looks pretty good. I was also using my ancient PhotoDeluxe...thank God I got Photoshop 7.0 in 2002! BTW, charlene31 is my
Neopets username in case you were wondering. The Usul is © Neopets, Inc. 1999-2003. |
