HI and welcome to Rebecca's Cabbage Patch
I am Rebecca and I am the proud parent of 32 cabbage Patch Kids (mainly 1984-1985). My Sister Sarah and I got our kids for christmas 1984 Sarah got Holly Judith (#2 head mold tan loops and pony tails) and I got Isacc Simon (#1 head mold with Auburn loops). The story behind that christmas is a funny one.
The Christmas of 1984
Twas the month before christmas and all through Sydney all parents were going crazy
about the elusive cabbage patch baby. The shops were all empty the phones rang wild
for parents were looking for a child or 2. (ok my poem isn't great lol)
Basically the christmas of 1984 all parents in Sydney Australia
looking for Cabbage Patch Kids (my mother and Grandmother ncluded) all the stores
were sold out. My mother and grandmother were looking for 6 Cabbage Patches for the 6 granddaughters under 6. Finally my mother got 4 form sydney stores but there were still 2 to be found FINALLY she rang Grace Brothers (Big chain store (expensive)) found 2 in outback Dubbo. Grace Brothers got them flown to sydney. So on Christmas day All Grand daughters got cabbage patches. Kerrie, Virginia, Belinda, Rebecca, Amanda and Sarah (in ages) got their Cabbage Patches.

Well today is my birthday and I will find out soon if I have gotten my first TRU kid..... YES TOYS"R"US HAS RELEASED THE TRU KIDS IN AUSTRALIA. I went this morning to my local Toys'r'us store and they had 10 kids (believe me I wanted them all) at the "so low" (note the sarcasm) price of AU$89.95, so buying 2 is out of the question...... They do not come in boxes but in their "cabbage leaves" they are "bigger than the original" especially thier heads. Maybe they will bring out their clothes as well and they will maybe fit the original CPK's (fingers crossed).
I have my TRU kid!!!!! Her name is Myra Whitney born January 6, she has blonde cornsilk popcorn curls and violet eyes, a purple fuzzy jumper with jeans and sneakers don't know the head mold yet cause of her hat but very very cute!!!!
