IJLW Brazil 6

(Harrison, Blair (3), G. Clark, Donkin)

Slavia Plaque 0

Team: Andrews, Toms, Kennedy, Churchley, Lambert, G. Clark (C), P. Clark, Smith, Belcher, Harrison, Blair.

Subs: Fenwick (Belcher), Donkin (Harrison), Fox (Smith), Charge.

Brazil went into the game looking for a back to back victory after last week’s success against Henderson, and having the rare choice of a full strength squad, the team were confident. Brazil started the brightest with the midfield winning everything and the front 2 of Harrison and Blair putting their defence under pressure immediately. A corner after 2 mins was half cleared to Belcher on the edge of the area but his shot just rose over the bar. A cleverly worked ball over the top saw Harrison, who for compared to their defence looked pacy, raced clear to slot it past the keeper 1-0. A Plaque corner was quickly cleared to the lively Blair who showing pace and strength ran from the half way line to slot home the second. 0-2. Brazil were dominating now with the 2 centre halves Churchley and Lambert dealing easily with their centre forwards and Toms and Kennedy linked well with the midfield. Brazil were outplaying the opposition all over the park, and several good moves didn’t get the goals they deserved due to poor finishing, the manager Paul "I couldn’t score in a brothel" Belcher being particularly guilt. Another strong run from Blair saw him grab his second 4-0. Just before the interval a cross from Belcher, was flicked on by Smith to Clark who riffled the ball into the far corner of the net 4-0.

Second Half.

Saw the introduction of Fenwick for Belcher and Donkin for Harrison as Brazil sought a double figure scoreline. The second half was a somewhat scrappier affair but Brazil still maintained control. Fox came on for Smith as Brazil pushed forward in search of more goals. Blair in his best performance for Brazil wasted several one on ones when it looked easier to score, before he finally lobbed the keeper from a tight angle. Donkin who linked well with Blair, was put through to slot it past the keeper to make it 6-0.

Final score 6-0

Ref- 9/10.
