After her 'A' levels, my mistress began to worry about the results. But before she get her results, she went to work temporary jobs. In about 6 months, she worked in 2 temp jobs. Her first was in Singapore Technologies - Singapore Engineering Software Pte Ltd. Her job was to cover the work as a secretary for a lady who had to go on maternity leave for 2 months. It was great experience for her. After the 2 months at ST, she had to go find another temp job. Her next job was at SCI ( can't remember what SCI stands for already..) My mistress worked in the training department. There she worked for about 1 and half months or so before she had to leave as they employed a permanent staff. On her last day of work, the colleagues there treated her to a buffet lunch at Hotel Rendezvous.
When my mistress got her 'A' levels, she wasn't exactly very happy about it as she did not do very well. However, she did try to apply for NUS science faculty. Instead she got into NIE to become a primary school teacher. Initially, she hated the thought of being in NIE. Because she had signed a bond with NIE for 8 years [ 4yrs study and 4 yrs repay bond], she cannot change course or anything. So she's stuck with being a teacher. She dislike it and so her results suffered.
After more than 2 years in NIE, she had accepted that she have to study and complete this degree then go out to teach. Just 4 year only ... so bear with....
Hehe... it was also during this time where my bestest friend and my mistress got together. When the NIe campus moved to NTU, my mistress decided to stay in the hostel. she stayed in Hall 13 for half a year and Hall 9 for a year.
My mistress like Hall 13 because its comfortable there with new furnitures. It had a nice spring bed and nice big study table. Her roommate there was a girl from Dip Edu called Adeline. Its was also during the stay at Hall 13 when the ordeal of my mistress and bestest friend's relationship occurred.
Well I was with my mistress during her stay at Hall 9. At Hall 9, she stayed with her best friend Guat Leng. They sometimes chat for hours when Guat Leng returns after teaching tuition. Guat Leng will usually buy her French fries and they will chat until my mistress finish them which usually took 1 or 2 hours. By then it will be midnight. Hence the two girls often had to bathe at midnight or 1am. I remembered the place to be very dusty and it collects dust very fast. This was due to my mistress' laziness to clean the room. Her roommate will vacuum the floor and once in a while my mistress will mop the floor. So when my mistress moved home, she was very happy as she don't have to do laundry and clean the room herself anymore.
As my mistress is still in NIE. So there is nothing much to say liaoz.
