"That 80s Show" began in January of 1999 after I (DJ Jen) took the Communications 130 course at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. I was a first year student when I started the show and now (if you have any mathematical ability at all) I am a junior.
I never thought that I wanted to be a DJ or have a radio show or be on the radio or do anything radio related ever, but I soon grew to love being on the air every week, interacting with callers, and playing some of my favorite music.
"That 80s Show" is produced at WCWS, 90.9 FM . WCWS is a free-format, student run, college radio station. Which is to say that while we are not the best thing on the air, we don't sell out to the man or kiss anyone's ass either. Most of the time you won't hear popular music on WCWS, but there are always exceptions and I am one of them.
