Storyline
A short bit about the game
without giving anything away.
Final Fantasy 8's storyline is perhaps the most complicated one yet. But just as all the Final fantasies are, you become easily involved and fascinated by the story. This is the sign of a great RPG.
The theme of Square's latest masterpiece is "Love". The story revolves around one young man in particular, Squall Leonheart. Squall is the typical ladies favorite in the looks department (Or at least mine ^_^): tall, dark, handsome, mysterious, keeps to himself. He tends to just shrug things off. His only problem is his cold personality.
The other main character is a young woman, Rinoa Heartily. She's outgoing, pretty, nice, and generally curious. After Squall catches her attention, watch out!
The Story begins basically as a
story of war. But as you play on, you learn there is more to the story.
Around the world are special schools called 'Gardens'. The main school
is Balamb Garden. This is where the story begins and where you meet your
new best buddy, Squall. Squall is there to learn and train to be one of
the elite members of SeeD. (SeeD, as you will learn, are forces/squads
which go on missions across the world to keep peace.)
Your mission in the game is to destroy the Witch, Edea, and save the
world. Typical storyline of a fighting genre game, right? Not so! For in
this game, you'll meet some new characters you can play with, learn a
lot about the world, and discover Squall's hidden past and why he is so
quiet. Plus, you'll receive the undying devotion and affection of the
beautiful Rinoa.
But like all FFs, there is always a problem: is Edea the one you want to
destroy? Is Rinoa all she says she is? The group keeps having these
little dreams about a man named Laguna. What are they about???
As this is only a basic
storyline, I will stop right now. Actually, I think I've already told
more than I should have. Anyhow, you have three other options if you
want to find out the whole story:
1 - Play the damn game! It's
great!
2 - Wait for me to come out
with a walkthrough (doubtful
for the moment) and complete spoiler storyline.
3 - Find another site or ask
for a site with all of the info.
