Second place does not necessarily mean second best. Well, at least not for American Idol cutie, Justin Guarini. The runner-up with the infamous ’fro has officially inked a deal with RCA Records, home to his good friend and idol winner Kelly Clarkson. Technically, Justin signed to "Idol" creator Simon Fuller’s 19 Recordings Limited, which will license his effort to RCA in America. Bob Jamieson, chairman of the RCA Music Group, has said RCA is looking very forward to working with Justin, adding "Justin already captured the imaginations of millions of American Idol viewers. We’re confident he’ll do the same with his music." But, like all of the finalists on the hit American Idol show, Justin’s going to have to wait ‘til Kelly Clarkson’s album drops. But that’s not bad news for Justin––he’s doing just fine maintaining a high profile thanks to the newly released American Idol: Greatest Moments album. RCA hopes to release Justin’s first single by the end of the year. Can’t wait!
