Under The Influence!

Here`s a list of my main guitar influences; those players who have had the most lasting impact on me as a musician. [or whatever the hell it is that I do with the guitar!] I have included links for tribute pages to my top 2 guys, Mr. Jimi Hendrix and Mr. Randy Rhoads. I can`t really put either of these guys after the other, as they`re BOTH Number #1 in my book! The rest aren`t in any specific order, but they`re ALL great! Of course, the following players are just some of the MANY fine musicians who have influenced me. I also draw inspiration from books, movies, places I`ve travelled, as well as everyday things. Sights and sounds of nature can also be inspiring; clouds, rainbows, storms, wind, rain, thunder & lightning, snow, flushing toilets [THAT`S where most of my sound comes from!;)], almost EVERYTHING can have a positive influence if you`re receptive enough...... [**NOTE**: You`ve probably noticed Eddie Van Halen isn`t mentioned as a one of my main influences. And I`d be lying if I said he had no impact one me! The fact is, I consider the first 2 Van Halen albums to be among the most influencial Rock albums of all time; and they sound as fresh, exciting and innovative NOW as they did upon release! Eddie`s rhythm playing is unique unto itself. Unfortunately, EVH went downhill after the 2nd album, at least for me. At one point, Eddie could have REALLY taken the guitar somewhere special; instead he became a guitar hero in the "Hollywood Squares" mold, turning out adolescent dreck like "OU812" and "F.U.C.K". Oh well, I`m pretty sure ol` Ed ain`t bothered by my opinion in the least! And he DID make a ton of money....]
