I am honored that you have so opened your feelings to me. As with all peace loving people around the world, I'm sure that we all feel the same as you. Over the next few days and weeks, you may bear witness to the statement of many ugly sentiments. Please keep in mind that these sentiments will be spoken out of deep resentment and anger, and not necessarily from an informed point of view. It is my hope that this event will open some eyes to the mistakes our government has made around the world, but I fear that instead it will just make us less tolerant and more rigid in our policies. This could inevitably lead to future acts of violence. Like you I love America and hope the best for our country. No actions justify what happened yesterday.
