Anybody using Lime Wire?
      #1087851 - 2003/04/15 04:30 AM

I have ununstalled the program, but Lime Shop remains listed in "Add/Remove Programs". Any attempt to remove per the normal means fails. Any idea how I can just make this silly thing go away? I tried reinstalling Lime Wire then re-uninstalling , but to no avail. The thing takes up only a little space, but it is darned annoying to see it there.

Last I checked, TweakUI allowed you to remove dead items from the add/remove programs database....

I just installed TweakUI for WinXP, but there does not seem to be any option such as you describe. However, this JV Power Rools seems to have done the trick.

Hijacking Roonie's thread to ask for some advice on my Norton. I update the thing a couple of days ago (the joys of having everything up to date!) and now I can't access my Bank Account: to be accurate, I can't access the sign in page. I know Norton is the culprit, as I can do my banking by turning off the firewall. But that's not something I am terribly keen to do. Trouble is, i don't know how to enter the Ip adn stuff (since I don't know the IP in the Trusted Zones. Anyone got any advice?

I'm using Norton Firewalll 2003- can't you just add the url of the home page to your list of trusted sites? That's what I did with TrekBBS when it wouldn't let me post here.

Ok, I seem to have fixed that one. The damned set-up was glitchy. I entered the Bank as a trusted zone both in Norton and in IE - still to no avail. In despair I set the firewall to minimum: success. "Aha!" I thought "at least I can do my banking without totally disabling the forewall". Then I set it back to 'medium' and Lo and Behold - it works. Grrr

Now all I need to do is get IE6 recovered from the damned Microsoft update (half the images won't actually load!) and I shall be a Happy (Easter) Bunny!
