Potato Casserole
Ashley, Kansas

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

  • 1 lb. bag of frozen southern style hash browns

  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup of melted butter
  • salt and pepper
  • First you mix - frozen hash browns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, desired amount of salt and pepper, and 1/2 cup (1 stick) of melted butter, in a very large bowl.  

    Then you melt 1/2 stick of butter, and mix in the 3 cups of crushed cornflakes. 

    Spread the hash brown mixture in a 13x9 in. casserole pan. 

    Pat it down evenly with a spoon. 

    Then you spread the cornflake mixture on top of the hash brown mixture. 

    Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
