low-salt chicken broth

fresh parsley -- chopped

green beans -- sliced
2 teaspoons
basil
1 teaspoon
oregano
1 teaspoon
salt
1/2 teaspoon
cayenne pepper flakes
1 15 oz. can
dark red kidney beans -- drained
1 15 oz. can
garbanzo beans -- drained
1/2 small
cabbage -- shredded
2 medium
zucchini -- quartered, sliced
3/4 cup
elbow macaroni or small shell pasta
FRESHLY
grated Parmesan cheese
1. Set crumbled sausage aside. Heat olive oil in large soup pot and
sauté # 2 - 6; sauté until vegetables are tender.
2. Add sausage and # 7 - 14; bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover
and simmer 20 minutes.
3. Add # 15 - 17; simmer covered an additional 10 minutes.
4. Add # 18 - 19; summer UNCOVERED 20 minutes or until pasta is
cooked.
Serving Ideas : Top with lots of freshly grated parmesan cheese.
NOTES : For a vegetarian version, just omit the sausage.
