Magic Brisket
tgray, Texas

Hey, everyone is going to think you just slaved over that ol' brisket!
Now don't go telling everyone just how easy it was to do, and don't tell them how you did it.  It's an old family secret recipe! ***wink, wink***

This can be cooked in a crock pot, dutch oven or on the grill.

Ingredients:

  • 1 or 2 cups of cold, brewed coffee (like you would drink.)
  • a brisket, whatever size you need.

    Directions:
Brisket is sooooo easy - do you have a crock pot or a Dutch oven?

If you have a crock pot:

The night before you want to eat it, put Brisket in crock pot and add 2 cups brewed coffee. Be sure not to get any grounds in, one lady did and got really mad at me!

Cook on low, until dinner next day. Dance, sing, be happy, your work is being done for ya!

Be sure to check before you go to bed and when you get up in the morning that it has not run out of fluid. We don't want that brisket getting an caffeine head-ache, do we?

If ya have a Dutch Oven:

Well, it's almost as easy, but not quite….. You have to put it in a 250 degree oven, oh, say about nine or so, with the required 2 cups of brewed coffee, and let it cook until dinner time.

    That's it!!!

If you don't have a crock pot or Dutch oven and want to...

cook it out on the grill

Well, Bully for ya! Just kidding, here's the easy way to do it!

Sprinkle well with Salt and pepper, Cook over charcoal fire for 1 hour, turning after 30 minutes.

Take off of fire, wrap well in foil and cook for 2-3 hours (depending on size) in a 250 degree oven.
