Salmon Spread
Goodmama, California

Here's an excellent and EASY appetizer recipe.

  • 1 8 oz. pkg. Philadelphia Light Cream Cheese
  • 1/8 lb. Smoked Salmon Lox (or more to taste)
  • Crackers or mini bagel halves

Place cream cheese and lox in food processor and process until smooth (no chunks remaining).

Place salmon spread in a pastry bag and fit it with a decorative tip (with not too small of a hole). Spritz out a design of salmon spread on crackers or mini bagels of your choice.

Any remaining chunks of lox will clog the pastry tip; you'll have to unscrew the tip, and poke it out with a toothpick. It's easier to make sure there are NO chunks remaining before you stuff the pastry bag.

NOTES : If using crackers, use light crackers such as Ritz Air Crisps. Plain or onion mini bagels would work well.
