Chili
Michelle, California

  • 2 lbs. ground beef 
  • 1 1/2 c chopped onion  
  • 2 cloves garlic minced 
  • 4 T chili powder 
  • 2 T flour
  • 2 t cocoa 
  • 2 t salt 
  • 1 T cumin 
  • 1 T sugar 
  • 2 C water 
  • 16 oz tomato sauce
  •  cooked beans

 In a Dutch oven, brown beef and drain.

Add onion and garlic, and cook until onion is limp. 

Stir in remaining ingredients, except beans and mix well.


Cover and simmer 30-45 minutes. Add beans and cook 5-10 minutes longer.

Serves 6-8
