Banana Bread or Muffins
 Laura, Indiana

  • 3 C flour 
  • 3 mashed bananas 
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt 
  • 1 1/2 tsp soda 
  • 2 1/2 C Sugar 
  • 1 C Buttermilk (I use 1 C milk and 1 TB lemon juice) 
  • 1 1/2 tsp almond flavoring 
  • 1 C oil 1/2 C butter or margarine 
  • 3 eggs 
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 

For 2 large pans of bread. Cook at 350 for 50 minutes.

For 2 dozen muffins cook at 350 for about 25 minutes *

For 1 dozen Jumbo muffins and 1 small loaf cook muffins at 350 for about 35 minutes * Cook small loaf cook for about 25 minutes*

*Oven temps and time may vary check your muffins.

Glaze Topping 
Laura, Indiana

  • 3/4 C sugar 
  • 1/4 C orange juice 
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla 
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract 
  • 2 TB melted butter 

Spoon glazed over bread or muffins and ENJOY!

(This recipe freezes well! Even with the topping. Great for last minute guests!)
