CANDLE COLOR CHART
Listed below is a selection of color correspondences that I use when working with candles. Please do not copy these thinking them to be correct. What is correct and works for me, may or may not be the same for you. They are merely here to be used as an example. When you have 15 - 20 minutes alone in a quite space, you can meditate on each color you ever wish to use and come up with your own unique correspondences that will have more meaning for you than anything you simply copy from somewhere else.
Colors are used in a variety of ways, but lately they've gained attention as healing implements. The colors themselves don't have healing properties, it's more of the vibrations they send off. Yes, colors send out vibrations. Those vibrations cause chemical reactions within your mind and are interpretted thusly. With the aid of colors, your mind controls your moods. Cool hues have a calming aura about them, darker hues have a deeper, emotional aura, and bright hues either have an aura of vitality, vigor, and strong emotions.
In magick, colors are used to remind us of the intent and purpose of a particular spell. Everytime we see the color of the candle we know to send out a little more energy to keep the spell charged well. However, if all you have are plain candles, that's fine. Originally, candles were all plain. There's nothing wrong with doing a spell to aid in finding romance with a white candle, as long as you don't forget what your intention is.
