A popular and friendly New York City firefighter, the Long Island born Kevin O'Rourke lost his life in the World Trade Center terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.

"Kevin O'Rourke was the nicest man on the New York City Fire Department", said Robert Galone, senior firefighter of Rescue 2 in New York. He leaves behind a wife and two children and is sadly missed by all who knew him.
