Frank O'Rourke, writer (1912-1989)
Frank 0'Rourke Colorado born writer of more than thirty books, Frank O'Rourke specialized in novels about the American west.

His inspiration came from his extensive travels throughout the southwest and Mexico while his resties 0 Rourke disposition saw him call Arizona, California and Maine home.

An award winning and critically acclaimed author Frank O'Rourke had several of his novels made into films. An avid sports fan and a collector of rare books O'Rourke had a deep love for the history and people of the old west and many of his books were extremely popular, spending many weeks atop the best seller list in the 1950's and 1960's.

Frank O'Rourke died in 1989 at the age of 72
