Local gore metal band Putrescence is absolutely a breath of fresh fucking air in a city known for ska. Putresence delivers the six song demo "Occult Blood and Excrement", six tracks that deliver an old school death/gore feel like Carcass. And this demo also has some of the best lyrics I've ever heard. "The well dressed corpse vomits over the souffle and the gucci-clad patrons outside". Putresence is apparently making their first release on no escape records and should be sold thru the label and distros. I'm not sure if it's being released on vinyl or cd or both but be on the lookout. As a whole I feel this demo is flawless and has done no wrong except for the lack of songs, also a few songs sound the same, but for the most part still intense and crushing as fuck.
