As I sit here and think
of America’s pain,
we must realize that our brotherhood
will always remain.

We will forever be here,
standing side by side,
holding our flags
and waving them with pride.

There has always been trouble.
There has always been despair.
When others need help,
who has always been there?

You have tested our strength,
and our will to keep going.
The flag will always wave.
It doesn’t matter if the wind is blowing.

Our country is the
best of them all.
From wars to terrorists,
Our flag does not fall.

We have been through things
that would make your head spin.
This attack, will receive only
the highest form of discipline.

Missing loved ones is
what this country fears.
For those people we shed
Our own little tears.

Americans will never forget
this horrific day.
At the same time we all know,

Thomas E. Starnes

These madmens major target was the "World" Trade Center - they knew people from all different nations were inside and they didn't care. Please support and pray for America and President Bush as we enter this war against terrorism. Until it's defeated - none of us are safe - none of us are free.

I just wanted to reiterate what a Russian comedian once said,"You can go and live in Russia, but you will never be Russian. You can become a citizen of Italy, but you will never be Italian. But you can come to America and be an American."
Being an American is not a birth-right. It is in your heart and your soul, regardless of your nationality. As of September 11, 2001, we are no longer Asian-American, African-American, etc. We are all American, defending our freedom and proclaiming our patriotism to each other.

Subject: As I sit here watching

As my family has been watching like many of us over the pass few days. I send all my love and sympathy to those that have passed away and to those still not found.
MY husband called my Tuesday morning with the news. So I turned it over. I sat there with horror thinking this was impossible. I always thought this would NEVER happen in the USA. And over the days and night this has been on TV. I have come to realize how much this effects ever one over the world. Even my 3 yr old kind of understands. Over the days he has said " mommie plane crashed" and then the next day " mommie planed crashed dead killed." I never expected him to figure out what is going on. And now I wonder just how to explain it. I mean he is 3. I was on the phone with my mother. And she told me a friend of the family's little boy (5) was asking his mom " mommie is a airplane going to crash into our house?" How do we explain the things that have happened to these small children? Will they understand? DO they think they are unsafe? There are many things to explain to our children. Everyone teaches their children about drugs and guns. But now there is a new thing terrorism.
The world will have their Vengence on those who comment this crime. When, and how is the question. My husband and I was talking. And decide death to them would not be the way to go. As you can tell killing them does bother them. They are willing to kill themselves. We decide to that locking them up for life would be more demeaning for them. They would get no Honor from us. Death is honorable for them. So sitting in a prison the rest of their life would be the best thing to do. I know my first thought was to hunt them down and just take them out. Like I'm sure everyone is thinking. But now we have to see what will happen to them.
And now back to the families. I was watching the TV last night when they should 4 women and their children. All 4 of their husbands are still missing. To see the pain on these women's faces. But most of all to see the hurt and pain in their children. It broke my heart. The adults will someday move on from this tragedy. But will the kids?? Will these kids grow up to be hateful? Should they be?
I have spoken of many things at this time. And I know some of these thing might not make sense. But they are my thoughts coming out all at once.
I will be out tonight at 7pm to light a candle. I've also hung the American flag out, to show my neighbors that I'm supportive of whatever decision is made to make this stop.
Thank you for reading

Subject: Opinion by Leonard Pitts

These words were written by Leonard Pitts for the Miami Herald... I believe that this is as true as words ever spoken... Blessed Be and Merry Part

We'll go forward from this moment
It's my job to have something to say.
They pay me to provide words that help make sense of that which troubles the American soul. But in this moment of airless shock when hot tears sting disbelieving eyes, the only thing I can find to say, the only words that seem to fit, must be addressed to the unknown author of this suffering.

You monster. You beast. You unspeakable bastard.

What lesson did you hope to teach us by your coward's attack on our World Trade Center, our Pentagon, us? What was it you hoped we would learn? Whatever it was, please know that you failed.

Did you want us to respect your cause? You just damned your cause.

Did you want to make us fear? You just steeled our resolve.

Did you want to tear us apart? You just brought us together.

Let me tell you about my people. We are a vast and quarrelsome family, a family rent by racial, social, political and class division, but a family nonetheless. We're frivolous, yes, capable of expending tremendous emotional energy on pop cultural minutiae -- a singer's revealing dress, a ball team's misfortune, a cartoon mouse. We're wealthy, too, spoiled by the ready availability of trinkets and material goods, and maybe because of that, we walk through life with a certain sense of blithe entitlement. We are fundamentally decent, though -- peace-loving and compassionate. We struggle to know the right thing and to do it. And we are, the overwhelming majority of us, people of faith, believers in a just and loving God.

Some people -- you, perhaps -- think that any or all of this makes us weak. You're mistaken. We are not weak. Indeed, we are strong in ways that cannot be measured by arsenals.

Yes, we're in pain now. We are in mourning and we are in shock. We're still grappling with the unreality of the awful thing you did, still working to make ourselves understand that this isn't a special effect from some Hollywood blockbuster, isn't the plot development from a Tom Clancy novel. Both in terms of the awful scope of their ambition and the probable final death toll, your attacks are likely to go down as the worst acts of terrorism in the history of the United States and, probably, the history of the world. You've bloodied us as we have never been bloodied before.

But there's a gulf of difference between making us bloody and making us fall. This is the lesson Japan was taught to its bitter sorrow the last time anyone hit us this hard, the last time anyone brought us such abrupt and monumental pain. When roused, we are righteous in our outrage, terrible in our force. When provoked by this level of barbarism, we will bear any suffering, pay any cost, go to any length, in the pursuit of justice.

I tell you this without fear of contradiction. I know my people, as you, I think, do not. What I know reassures me. It also causes me to tremble with dread of the future.

In the days to come, there will be recrimination and accusation, fingers pointing to determine whose failure allowed this to happen and what can be done to prevent it from happening again. There will be heightened security, misguided talk of revoking basic freedoms. We'll go forward from this moment sobered, chastened, sad. But determined, too. Unimaginably determined.

You see, the steel in us is not always readily apparent. That aspect of our character is seldom understood by people who don't know us well. On this day, the family's bickering is put on hold.

As Americans we will weep, as Americans we will mourn, and as Americans, we will rise in defense of all that we cherish.

So I ask again: What was it you hoped to teach us? It occurs to me that maybe you just wanted us to know the depths of your hatred. If that's the case, consider the message received. And take this message in exchange: You don't know my people. You don't know what we're capable of. You don't know what you just started.

But you're about to learn.

I would like to start by saying that I have family in another country temporarily right now. They are safe for now but I am concerned for them because of where they are. While I did not know anyone personally in any of the tragedy sites, I do however feel the effects just as every other American does! I have been very impressed with the support that I have seen so far from other countries! It is nice to know that our support is so wide spread and I feel that in the upcoming weeks, months and even possibly years that we will need this support!
I just want to say to all of the victims and families of the victims...."I, as I am sure that all of America and most of the world does, feel your pain and sorrow. We will all stand by each other through all of this and we will see it to the end. We cannot let them take us down. When the time is right I am sure that justice will prevail! God Bless you all!"

As horrifying and seemingly impossible the events of the last few days have been, the immediate solidarity of this country I am proud to call home is phenominal. We never even imagined that this sort of thing would happen here, but now that it has and our world is changed forever, it is important to pull together and remember what it was that made this country great to begin with. Look at the heros we have that we didn't even know were here. The firemen, police officers and healthcare workers who responded immediately and tirelessly. The passengers aboard the flight that crashed in Pennsylvania, facing certain death, saved countless lives by sacrificing themselves...these are heros in my book.
All of the victims and survivors...all Americans are in my thoughts and prayers. Kristen Scarpitto (pkflamingo)

I think we should all work for JUSTICE for our pal Osama.

I'm defining justice as: something like that portrayed in A CLOCKWORK ORANGE...let's put him in a room surrounded on all sides (wall, ceiling, floor) by the live video we've been watching this week of the FACES OF THOSE PEOPLE CRYING FOR THEIR LOVES ONES.

Every fifteen minutes or so, let's intercut that with shots from the morgue. And shots of forensic scientists holding small pieces of what used to be people up to their microscopes...

Then, on the anniversary of 9-11, let's put ole Osama in one of those clear plastic balls that people buy for hamsters to roll around the living room floor. Let's let all of the families of victims get to "interact" with him for an hour...

Then back to his cell and the live video of people screaming.

And one final thing: let's take real, real, real good care of him, so he lives a long time.

In agony.

We know that no matter what we say, it will never take away the vast pain that is being felt not only by relatives and friends of the ones who were so tragically taken, but for the world who looked on helplessly. The only words that come to mind, is that no matter who you are, what colour of your skin, what country you come from, we are flesh and blood, all the same in the inside, let's work together to make this world a better place, with love, peace and understanding. Before I post, I want all to know how devasted I feel as a result of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. My nerves are on edge. Where I live, Apache's fly over. I support President George W. Bush 100%!!

I wrote the following. However, I know this will be seen by people who do not fall into the category listed in the first paragraph.
To all my varied friends. I love each and every one of you. Some are fellow members at my church; some are an abundance of cherished friends online, some are cherished friends online who are Pastors; some are King James Only readers, many are not; one is a Pastor who grew up in my church and went on to found a church a few miles away (you know who you are lol); two are fellow believers in other countries;

But what we all have in common is a love for the Lord Jesus Christ. This was put together as a combination of my thoughts since 9/11/01, combined with Pastor's sermon last night. I expect a lot of reactions. Some of you may get angry at me.

But I ask that you all pray before you read it. Ask the Lord to speak to you as you read this. I am nothing. I am only clay before my Master. This is not about me. But, this is about what we are all going through.

On Tuesday morning, September 11, 2001, I awoke to go about my daily business. I had Fox and Friends on and at 8:45 a.m., Steve Doucey got very serious and said, "We have an announcement. We have a report that one of the World Trade Towers has had a plane crash into it."

Fox News took over. I stared at the TV. There was a huge mushroom of smoke billowing from the tower. The Fox Commentator said right away that it was deliberate. He was talking to another man who cautioned him to wait until we had the facts. At 9:15 a.m., I heard "OH NO! ANOTHER PLANE !!! ANOTHER PLANE JUST CRASHED INTO THE OTHER TOWER!!" I looked back and saw it. The announcer then said, "I guess we can now say that was on purpose."

The phone rang around 9:30 a.m. My timeline may be off. My life-long friend called, somber, and said, "Hello." She then told me about the Pentagon. I cried.

And for the next 33 hours I watched the disaster unfold.

When I woke up this morning, I knew my shock had worn off and I was in deep pain. I am NOT taking away from those 1,000’s of American families who have had their lives changed permanently from loss of loved ones.

My pain is as a woman who loves the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my body.

I went to church last night. This is not unusual. I sat down. And I looked around me as a flood of people came in, many whom I have not seen on a Wednesday night for many months. I sat quietly. The level of noise was almost deafening. It wasn’t because of their disrespect for being in church, it was emotion.

We opened by singing the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America. Our Assistant Pastor led the first two songs.

Then our Pastor came up, with a very serious look on his face. He said, "I hope you did not sing that in pride, but as prayer." It was very quiet. He went about awarding badges to the kids that earn them in Kid’s Club on Wednesday nights. He made a few announcements.

The our Assistant Pastor came up to the pulpit and said, "Number 438. And you can remain sitting." We opened our books and it was "My Country ‘Tis of Thee." I saw a couple of senior ladies stand (they had not heard him about sitting) and embarrassingly sat down. We began singing. I saw a couple of men stand, and then more people and my son helped me stand up. And stand we did.

Pastor came back to the pulpit and dismissed the church workers for Kid’s Club and then the kids. The teens remained with the adults.

Pastor began, as he always does, by telling us to open our Bibles. He said, "I have titled this ‘What On Earth Is Going On? Or subtitled, ‘What In America Is Going On? Go to Luke 21:9." He said, "I look at everything that ever happens and go to the Bible. If you don’t do that, you are wrong."

Luke 21:9 "But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by."

We are honoured to live in peace and liberty here in America. This will sound harsh, but do you think that God may have wanted to teach America a lesson? He would NOT do such a thing, but He could allow it. Is there not commotion in America today? I have only four points.
#1 Prophecies continue to be fulfilled.

If you haven’t cried over what has happened, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS WRONG WITH YOUR HEART??? If you haven’t cried, your heart is hardened and seared.

Luke 21:10 "Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise again nation, and kingdom against kingdom."

Luke 21:25-26 "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth DISTRESS OF NATIONS, WITH PERPLEXITY; the sea and the waves roaring; MEN’S HEARTS FAILING THEM FOR FEAR, and for looking after those things wich are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."

II Timothy 3:1-5 "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection (nobody loves others as they should today), false accusers, incontinent, FIERCE, despisers of those that are good. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

The people who did this destruction are FIERCE. They are an unholy, heathen people.

#2 God’s Hedge of Protection has been lifted from America.

At this point Pastor stopped. He stared back at the end of the pews on right side of the sanctuary (His left side.) and said, very angrily, "Get those smirks off your faces NOW! You stinking rebels! I don’t know about you, BUT I LOVE AMERICA !!! Get out of this church now. You’re the cause of what is going on in this country! Go for a walk. You have ruined America!"

I was frozen in my seat. I have never ever heard Pastor speak like this. I never took my eyes off

away from him. He was right.

Jeremiah 7:6-7 "If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow and SHED NOT INNOCENT BLOOD in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: THEN will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever."

Isaiah 5:5- "And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard; I WILL TAKE AWAY THE HEDGE THEREOF, AND IT SHALL BE EATEN UP; AND BREAK DOWN THE WALL THEREOF, AND IT SHALL BE TRODDEN DOWN; And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns; I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. "

God always gives people a place to repent. In the early 1960’s, prayer was removed from schools, Bibles were taken out. In 1963, the President was assassinated. In the 1970’s the womb was made no longer safe for unborn babies.

People have not repented. II Kings 24:4 "And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would NOT PARDON."

During 28 years, 42,000,000 babies have been murdered.

Psalm 127:3 "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."

Safety is of the Lord.

Psalm 7:11 "God judgeth the righteous, and God IS ANGRY WITH THE WICKED every day."

There have been 28 years of abortions. God uses wicked, heathen people to teach lessons to those who know what they should rightly, but won’t. He used the Samaritan’s (whom the Israelites hated because they were a combination of Jewish & Assyrian’s (staunch enemies of the Israelites); and Chaldean’s (two examples).

Habukkuk 1:12-14 (background – the Israelites were not being obedient and the Lord was going to teach them a lesson. When they realized who was going to take them captive….)"Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? We shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?"

Meaning: How could some heathen like Osama bin Laden attack us. After all, pridefully, we’re America. This can’t happen here!!! BUT, America has allowed MILLIONS of unborn babies to be slaughtered. American has knowledge of GOD. America is Christian, don’t you know??

God does remain true. He has given us a wake-up call. We can still believe:

Romans 8:31 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"

We have just taken God for granted.

Proverbs 1:21-33 "She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates; in the city she uttereth her words, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD; They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil."

#3 Our nation is under delusion/illusion.

I don’t know about you, but all I heard, over and over were commentators saying "Folks, this is not a movie. This is real!" Do we not need commentators to help us separate fantasy from reality?

Daniel 9:8 "O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee."

Isaiah 66:4 "I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not."

I won’t embarrass anyone here. But, I wonder how many people here were on their knees praying last night for America? Or were you busy partying?

Read Jeremiah 51 and Revelation 18. That Babylon is America!

About 10 years ago, Larry Klayman (a missionary to Russia) was at our church and spoke at all the services. After Sunday morning, we were heading back to my home. I had ridden with him. I was looking around and I heard him crying. I asked what was wrong? He said, "Pastor, I know that today, when your members drive home, they will forget everything I said." I said, "You do? Really? Why?" Brother Larry said, "Because they will turn on their music, turn on their TV’s and forget what they learned spiritually."

#4 Be not terrified.

Matthew 24:6 "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."

Luke 21:28 "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

The uppertaker is coming.

Amos 4:12 "Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel."

II Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

I don’t know about you, but I have had peace through this whole thing. I have no fear and neither should you. But humble yourselves

We are now all going to pray. Go pray with someone if you wish. Pray by yourself. When you are done, just get up and quietly leave.

When I woke up this morning, and I saw the continuing work at the rubble of the Twin Towers, I began to shake. My short shock had worn off. And later, I heard it announced that there HAD BEEN DAY CARE CENTERS in the Twin Towers, just like Oklahoma City.

A thought crossed my mind last night, while listening to Pastor. Much has been talked about on the subject of the murder of 5 children by a Mother. That is UNNATURAL! When it was announced that N.O.W. (I would say it is N.O.W.W. – National Organization of Wicked Women.) would throw their support to the murderess and raise money for her defense. The children meant nothing to them, their protests aside.

It is time to us to repent. It is time to speak out, never failing. It is time to humble ourselves before the Lord. May a huge revival come about as a result of this heathen attack on AMERICA!

I am preserving your post in the archives en total because I am so fiercely against censorhip. Freedom of expression is a precious American right and I am loathe to do anything that would abuse another's rights. But I cannot preserve this post without also expressing my own beliefs. And here they are:

This Message Board is solely for Americans to come together, not to be used as a tool of divisiveness and I believe some of your rhetoric is aimed precisely for the purpose of being divisive, whether that is your INTENDED purpose or not.

This was also not a Message Board to debate other issues such as women's political organizations and whatever you imagine they stand for.

This Message Board was only ever for people to express their thoughts and feelings about what happened at the World Trade Center and to offer condolences and mutual support.

And I still thank you for being here.

My prayers go out to all Americans who lost their loved one's
in this terrible tradgedy.Sometimes we ask ourselves God why did
you let this happen. No one will ever understand why things happen
they way that they do;but maybe things happen for a reason!!
Maybe we can now all come together as one.No matter what color, creed, gender,or religion.I am encouraged how Americans come
together in a national crisis such as this.If this can be done
in a crisis we can all live togerher in peace and harmony if we
try.God is looking down on America and he knows our countries
weaknesses and strenghts. Once again this nation will prevail
dispite all of its problems and faults we as a nation will get
through this terrible nightmare.

I am a singer. Last night I was at a bar and was offered $5.00 to sing the National Anthem. I said if I was good enough for the crowd, I would like for them all to come give money in the tip jar, and we would donate it to the Red Cross. I raised app. $400.00 in 3 minutes. Please, all of you, do what you can.

This is wonderful. We will all discover in the weeks to come just how strong we are as a nation. We will prevail because we will stand together as one American family.

We are on the verge of War. Our Country demands justice for the pain and fear inflicted upon our nation and its people. War does not comfort me. What does, is my faith in God and knowing he has taken his people to a far better place and those responsible for hurting us so badly will feel pain forever with no escape. God has not abandoned us. If we could see him right now, we would see the tears falling from his face.

When innocence is broken-children cry

The above is a line from Wolfstone's song "Holy Ground".

Innocence was definitely broken on September 11th 2001.

My heart and thoughts are with everyone who has suffered loss in the tragic events of Tuesday.

May your gods go with you and protect you.

Although the attack occured on American shores, let us not forget those from other countries who lost their lives while working in the World Trade Centers. The list of the dead and missing reads like a roll-call from the United Nations: United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Italy, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Spain, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, and many, many more. This act of terrorism affected our WORLD! Take a few moments to remember the missing, and the dead, from our world-wide brethern.

Hold in your minds the images of a spontaneous PRO-American rally in Germany; people leaving flowers, poems, and candles at the gates of the American Embassy in Moscow; the Royal Band playing the "Star Spangled Banner" during the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (never ever done before!)...along with many other tributes from other countries that don't make our "news."

I offer my most heartfelt thanks to our world community for your condolences, for sharing in our collective pain. This tragedy may have been the catalyst that finally brings us together as the so similar yet so diverse "family of man".

"Kindness is the noblest weapon to conquer with" AMERICAN proverb.

I am so pleased to see everyone coming together. Not only our nation but other nations wanting to do all they can to help. I have heard so many people wanting to do more and more. Followed but the most tragic event in history we are seeing the most blessed days!

"Through our willingness to help others we can learn to be happy rather than depressed." Gerald Jampolsky

"I believe that man will not merely endure; he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among the creatures has and inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of kindness and compassion." William Faulkner.

I just wanted to tell the world thank you for the support to the US. Never before have I realized the horrific magnitude of terrorism until now. Never have I realized the power of human beings from across the world until now. I see people from many nations and beliefs crying and waving American flags. May God Bless All of You! May he also bless those who are still waiting to be rescued, those who are rescuing and to all our great leaders of our nations.
