Short band bio
Phinius Gage formed in Brighton during the winter of 2000. After the self-release of their debut EP in April 2001, the next nine months saw the band tour their distinct British blend of skate-hardcore all over the UK, building a growing fan base, gaining good reviews and making loads of friends on the way! In early 2002 Phinius Gage changed line-up to the current members of Ade (vocals and guitar), Pie (guitar), McFly (bass) and Matt (drums and vocals). Several months was spent writing new material which was debuted during the Summer of 2002's "Extra Value Tour", prompting comparisons to Pennywise, Good Riddance and Bigwig. In September of the same year, Phinius Gage made the journey to the punk mecca of Corby, Northants to record their album "More Haste More Speed". Already creating a major stir on the underground circuit. On February 24th 2003 More Haste More Speed got released through Deck Cheese Records over the uk which is avalible from all major record stores such as HMV, Virgin etc.On the 22nd April 2003 Mcfly Annocuced he has left Phinius Gage on the 21st April 2003,Mcfly was sad to be leaving the band and will still support the band and along with the rest of us hope they go far With Mcfly gone Phinius Gage started looking for a new bass player to replace him, But during the time they were looking the band took on a number of replacement bass players intill a full time one fits in.On the 6th of June 2003 Phinius Gage were proud to annouce they had found a new bass player to replace Mcfly who left over an month ago. The full time bass player is Mike from Nottingham based band None Of The Above.
