Hanover House: The End?
Anyone who knows me knows that I love the Hanover House. I’m there
more or less every weekend catching shows. I consider the House my home
base. So imagine my sheer anguish upon reading that Hanover may very
well soon become a mere memory. The city of Meriden is most likely going
to be putting up, of all things, a family restaurant in its place. What will
happen to the hardcore kids in Meriden? The ones with cars will be burning
through gas going to see shows, and the ones without transportation are plain
screwed. I know I’ll still be seeing shows, but not nearly as much as before.
Hardcore is a huge part of my life, and Hanover is my primary outlet for the
music and scene I love. Like many other kids, hardcore keeps me away from
negative shit like drugs, and without our beloved Hanover House, I don’t know
what we’d do (hint, hint city of Meriden)!
