Amicus Curiae
Case No: 99-4309-DR-FC Case No: 42-2004-CA-001149 Dear Sir/Madam, As friend of the court, Amicus Curiae, this letter is being sent to support the return of Alex Prado to his mother Renee M. Jacques. This child was taken from his mother by means of judicial abuse in Marion County, Ocala, Florida. The custody order coming out of the blatant abuse of power of Judge Raymond T. McNeal in Marion County MUST BE VACATED in order to obtain relief for the child and allow him to return home to his mother and sibling. It is not fair to force this mother to spend thousands of dollars in Family Law court to right a wrong done by one of your judges. This has also prolonged the misery of this little boy. On behalf of this six-year-old child, Alex Prado, I pray you will take the time to investigate this situation regarding the ruling by Judge Raymond T. McNeal, in a flagrant disregard of the Florida State Statutes in this case. His actions are a miscarriage of justice. This child needs your help, please review the legal issues and remedy them. There must be a collateral effort to save this child from further psychological harm and allow him to return to his home, family, friends and school. Judge Raymond T. McNeal made a ruling with unsubstantiated and baseless information given and sworn under oath. His ruling is not supported by the facts, on the record. Judge McNeal repeatedly considered discredited and irrelevant testimony and hearsay. His order granting physical custody of this child to his proven, physically and mentally abusive father, on the record in his court, clearly demonstrates Judge McNeal’s conflicted and prejudicial conduct. The focus should be on the child. Legislators wrote laws to protect Florida’s Children and a Judge is failing to abide by the laws they worked so hard to enact for the best interest of the children of Florida. Some of the obvious actions of this judge are: 1) Abuse of power 2) Disregard for "the best interest of the child" 3) Disregard for psychological abuse towards the child by the father 4) Disregard of substantiated facts presented in this court on the record 5) Disregard of the Department of Children and Families investigative report stating that the accusations made against the mother were found to be untrue and reported under false pretenses to authorities On behalf of this six year old child, Alex Prado, I pray you will take the time to investigate this situation regarding when a Florida judge in a flagrant disregard for the State Statutes, switched custody without a proper hearing and without it being in the “best interest of the child. Custody was awarded to the father via an Exparte Motion that was filed with unsubstantiated and baseless information. Judge Raymond T. McNeal was aware of a hostile battle that the father had with the mother of the child. Judge Raymond T. McNeal ordered and enforced an Injunction for Protection on behalf of the mother for protection against domestic violence at the hands of the father of this child and in turn grants custody to the abuser. Judge Raymond T. McNeal unlawfully removed custody of this child from the mother. He himself, states on the record, that he would not pass a test that was used against the mother in his ruling to remove the child from her care. He states, “No wonder these tests are worthless, and I would score wrongly on these tests.” Yet he uses such worthless and fabricated matter to unlawfully intervene and remove the child from his mother. I am concerned that not only the ruling was not made in the best interest of the child, and bias but also that the court has exploited the mother of this precious child based on unsubstantiated hearsay and judicial order. Judge McNeal’s corruption within the judicial system has shredded this family and was an extremely disruptive decision. Thank you for your time and attention.
