I provide a variety of support services, from assisting with the installation of new software/hardware right through to fault-finding existing installations.
I can upgrade most PC’s to improve their efficiency/operation, for example adding more memory or hard disk space when a new piece of software requires a better system specification (or you’ve just run out of disk space!). Provision of Driver CD's & Discs I can provide most Driver CD's for various computer hardware items, current or obsolete versions, subject to the manufacturers copyright restrictions (in some cases I will need to provide a 'download link' so that you can download the file directly). ‘One-to-One’ application training Training courses can be provided either to improve general system familiarity or can be focussed specifically on particular applications (or parts of applications!) Training manuals can also be produced to provide procedures to follow later. Online Technical Support dataBase Frequently Asked Questions and other common support issues are also available for reference at any time via my Website forums. Networks can be quickly installed for up to 15 users and configured as either 'Client - Server' (the usual way, with all data stored on a central PC) or 'Peer to Peer' (data shared throughout the network, as well as printers, etc.). Telephone / email / Fax support service These service options are available for my regular clients and those on a maintenance contract. Any client can use the email support and / or the forums here at the website. Monthly / Weekly Maintenance visits Clients can arrange to have regular bookings with me during the setting up period of projects, as well as a regular visit with regard to 'housekeeping' and other tasks. This can include training existing staff members to carry out these tasks. Installation of Internet Access Should a client not have the facilities to access the Internet I can install equipment to allow individual PC's or Networks to access the Internet, either on a 'dialup' basis or via Broadband (subject to availability in the area). Building and Supply of 'second-user' computer equipment Computers can be built to order, either from equipment provided by the client or from scratch with parts purchased by me. Please note that with any hardware purchases a 50% deposit is required for the job to proceed. These surveys are normally carried out when a company is either upgrading an existing system or having a new system installed. They can also be used for insurance purposes if a system needs to be replaced due to damage. Custom Help Guides and Manuals These help guides and manuals are normally based around the operators own notes so that the language used is the same as the people using the equipment in day to day work. This makes them easier to follow.
