Kokella Robertson

Kokella Robertson’s love of mystery and science fiction began when she bought her first Nancy Drew Mystery. Later, she idolized authors such as Steven King, Wes Craven and the other masters of suspense. This is balanced with a well-rounded heaping of the classics from the Odyssey, to Canterbury Tales, Dante, Shakespeare, and did I forget to mention H.P. Lovecraft? Her writing reflects many elements of the classics that she loves.

Kokella won her first poetry contest at Age 10 when she placed first in a statewide competition. She has won numerous creative writing contests throughout her life and has become a favorite storyteller around late night firesides. She can often be found haunting a late night campfire on any given moonless night, weaving her tales of intrigue and suspense.

Kokella’s professional writing career entails a strong background in the sciences. She spent 10 years working various jobs from a hazardous materials specialist, laboratory analyst, microscopist and with several other more interesting job descriptions. Her most recent endeavors are as a freelance technical writer. Her travels took her to England near the border of Wales. She has had many exciting and unusual adventures from which to draw her inspiration.

Kokella now resides in a small farming community in the Midwest with her three children, husband, three dogs, and 20 chickens. Her earlier travels and adventures serve as fuel for her stories. Kokella uses her varied background and lessons learned from the masters of suspense to weave complex plots involving vivid, colorful characters that delight all audiences. She is known for keeping people on the edge of their seat, eyes wide open asking, "…and then what happened?"
