Eric Schneider

Eric Schneider

Eric Schneider was born on "another planet" (Brooklyn, NY), a long, long time ago, and raised there. He wrote his first Science Fiction short story, at age twelve, for 7th grade English. After college, he taught grade school for three years, then changed careers, and worked his way up to being Editor-in-Chief of a nationwide business magazine. When Eric was thirty, his first published SF story, "Labor of Love," appeared, revised from a college writing assignment. Since then, he has had one more short story published (not SF), completed a feature length screenplay he is currently marketing, had a short screenplay reach semi-finals in a recent competition, written dozens of magazine articles, self-published a booklet, "How to Forgive Anyone," composed about 500 songs, and released two cassette albums--"Who We Are Is Love," and "Songs For A Better World." One of Eric's songs, "Yes, We Will!" was performed at the Hunger Project's Africa Prize International Awards Dinner in 1989.

Currently, Eric lives in the Southwest with his two teenage sons, where he writes, teaches computer and personal growth courses at a County Jail, and studies Buddhadharma.
