NEAL RIEMER, Ph.D. '49, died October 13 in Summit, N.J. He was Stout professor of political philosophy emeritus at Drew University. Earlier he taught at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Pennsylvania State University. He was the author of 15 books, including Protection against Genocide, Creative Breakthroughs in Politics, The Revival of Democratic Theory, and the fifth edition of The Challenge of Politics, of which he was a coauthor. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He leaves his wife, Ruby, and three sons, David '70, J.D. '73, Jeremiah '74, and Seth '75.
