Basic Rules About Web Pages
1. Offer something worthwhile on your home page. Tell what is important to you--your
poetry, your interests, pictures of you and your family and friends. Don't have your reader leave
your page and wonder, "Why did I come?"
2.Don't make your readers have to search for the items on your page. Don't fill it up with lots of scripts ,
applets, scrolling lines, graphics, flashing lights, and non-complementary colors. Make
lots of links and make them easy to understand.
3.If someone writes to you about your web page, write them back. That's why you have
a guest book or e-mail link.
4.Change is good. Work on your page. Update it > Fix it when there's a problem. Make
sure your readers know that you take as great an interest in the page as they do. Otherwise, people will
stop coming to your page.
