In Memory of Anthony Mele (1965-2005)
On September 8th, 2005 the JKRC was saddened by the loss of one of its own. Anthony R. Mele Jr. had passed away the night before. Anyone who knew Tony knew that he was a passionate Elvis Presley fan as well as a volunteer firefighter. But with all of his assets Tony was best known for his generosity. JKRC staff member, Omar Atshan remembers Tony as having a big heart. “Whenever we went on outings Tony was always at the center of the fun, sharing his joy and wealth with the other students.”
Colleen Faupel, Tony’s technology instructor, also adds, “Tony was and always will be remembered as a man who saw life through his heart. He was a very caring and thoughtful man who would go above and beyond to help someone, anyone, any way that he could.
Tony is survived by his son Garrett, his mother Barbara and his brother Richard.
You will be missed Tony because Elvis truly has left the building.
