Hannibal, MO.
Hannibal is approximately 100 miles north of St. Louis on US 61, which connects with I-70 just west of St. Louis (Wentzville) and with I-80 in Davenport, Iowa.
The Hannibal Inn (1-800-325-0777) is located just off US 61 at 4141 Market Street. Arriving in Hannibal on US 61 (McMasters Ave.) from the south, turn right onto Market (Bus 61). Or from the north, turn left onto Market. Then turn right into Inn entrance.
Riverview Park from the Inn: turn left from Inn, then turn right (north) onto US 61. After approximately 4 miles you will pass on the right a high school and then a middle school (brick buildings). Right after the middle school turn right onto Palmyra. After about 3 miles a large sign on the left indicates the entrance to the park. Also at the entrance is a map of the park. Follow directions to Shelter #1.
Holy Family Church (573-221-1078) from the Inn: turn left from Inn, then turn right (north) onto US 61. At the next stop light (approximately 2 miles) turn right onto James Road (landmarks: Shell station, Casano's Pizza). At next stop sign turn right onto St. Mary's Ave., which becomes Broadway St. At a stop light at a major intersection (Savalot on left), the church can be seen ahead on the right at 1111 Broadway. (Please note: this is an address correction.) There are two parking lots. One is behind the church; the other is across the street.
(Note: While both the park shelter and the church have parking lots, we have been asked to carpool as much as possible in attending those places to avoid blocking traffic.)
