* The next morning *
"Good morning Miss Sullivan." Clare said, smiling.
"Good morning Clare... Is Mr. Wright in his office?"
"Yes, he is, he's expecting you."
The young girl smiled, as she walked towards Johnny's office. She knocked quietly.
"C'mon in." Johnny said, from behind the door.
The young girl smiled, as she slowly stepped into the office. "Good morning Johnny." She said, as she took a seat in front of Johnny's desk.
Johnny looked up from a stack of papers. He smiled. "Morning Miss Sullivan."
"You wanted to talk to me about something?"
Johnny nodded. "Yes, ma'am... It's all set... You'll be NSync's opening act for their summer tour." The young girl smiled. "Oh yes... And one more thing... I've scheduled a meeting so you can meet the guys... You know, just to sorta get to know them."
The young girl smiled. "Great! And when is this meeting being held?"
"Um, today as in... Right now?"
Johnny laughed slightly. "Why yes, the sooner the better."
"Hey Johnny, what's this meeting for again?" Joey asked, as he sat in the studio room, along with the other band mates.
"Dang Joe, don't you ever pay attention?" JC replied angrily.
Joey looked at him confused. "What?"
"This meeting is so we can meet our opening act." Lance said frustrated.
"Whoa, sorry." He said, as he crossed his arms over his chest. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
Johnny stood up and opened it. He smiled. "Guys, meet your opening act." He said, as the young girl walked in.
JC jumped from his seat. "Sabina Sullivan!!! No way!!!" He replied excitedly.
Sabina smiled sweetly, her cheeks turning a slight shade of pink.
Johnny smiled. "Sabina, this JC."
Sabina smiled, as she reached out to shake his hand. "Hi, nice to meet you."
JC smiled. "It's great to meet you... And just to let you know... Your the best girl!! I love your music!!"
Sabina laughed slightly. "Thank you..."
Johnny laughed, as he continued introducing her to the rest of the group. "This is Joey... This is Lance... And this is Chris." Sabina smiled, as she shook each of their hands. "And last, but certainly not least... Sabina, this is Justin."
Sabina smiled, as her eyes set on Justin. "Hi Justin." She said, as she extended her hand to his.
Justin smiled slightly. "Hi." He said softly, gently taking her hand his. Justin sighed, as he felt the soft touch of her hand. He quietly, swallowed the knot that was forming in his throat. He slowly moved his eyes up, as they came in contact with hers. This was the first time, in nearly 2 years that he's looked into the eyes of a women. Without thought, he quickly released her hand, breaking their eye contact. He stood up quietly. "Excuse me guys." He said softly, as he walked out of the room.
Sabina sighed, as she saw the door close behind Justin. She remembered what Johnny had told her yesterday... She thought, that maybe that was the reason for him to walk out.
Johnny sighed, as he walked over to her. "Don't worry... Just give him some time... He's going through a lot right now."
Sabina smiled slightly, as she looked at the other guys. She sat down in Justin's chair and started talking to them. Starting to get to know them.
* 2 weeks later *
"And 5, 6, and 7..." Choreographer Darren Henson counted, as he showed Sabina the dance steps to her song 'Looks Don't Matter'.
Justin sighed, as he watched Sabina carefully. Lance smiled as he took a seat next to him. "She sure is something eh Justin?"
"What are you talking about?" He asked, his eyes still on her.
Lance sighed. "C'mon Justin... It's been two weeks and you still haven't made any effort to try and talk to her."
"So?" He shook his head. "Justin, just try and talk to her... She's a very trust worthy person."
"I can't trust anyone."
"You can if you just try."
Justin sat quiet for a moment as he watched Sabina. He sighed as he spoke again. "I can't Lance." He said softly. "I just can't." His eyes brimming with tears.
Lance nodded his head slowly. "Ok J... I understand." He said, as he patted his back gently.
* Later that night *
"All right, so we'll all meet at the beach tomorrow, say around.... 10 am?" JC said, as they all walked into the parking lot. Johnny had decided to give the guys the weekend off, before they start working for the tour. The guys agreed, as they all settled in their cars and headed home.
Justin sighed, as he slowly stepped into his dark house. He closed the door, setting his keys on the table. He switched on the light and walked into the beautifully decorated living room. Large white walls, white carpet, along with black and white tables and black leather couches.
He walked up to the long couch and laid down, resting his head against the arm rest. He took a deep breath, bringing his right arm over his forehead as Sabina popped into his mind. Maybe Lance was right. Maybe he should at least try and talk to her. It wouldn't hurt. During those 2 weeks that Sabina had been working with the guys, Justin couldn't help but watch every move she made. He shook the thoughts from his head, he stood up and walked into his office.
He switched on the light, as he took a seat at his Oak Wood desk. He sighed, as he lifted the pen, that set next to a sheet of paper. After tapping the end of the pen, three times against the polished surface, he began to write.
As I sit alone in my room, my mind begins to race with so many amazing things, that I feel my heart racing with excitement. For today, I have never noticed such a beautiful person, a rage of beauty and light. But... I know not, what this person is truly like deep within their heart. I never imagined I would have feelings like this. Not after what I have received... In all my honestly... I am scared... Scared of admitting my feelings... Scared of being deceived... Scared of falling more and ending up hurt in the end...
He set his pen down on the desk and stood up. He turned off the light, as he walked out of his office and headed up the stairs. He walked into his dark room, taking his T-shirt over his head and tossing it in the basket. He sat on the edge of his bed, and slowly took off his pants, tossing them in the basket along with his other dirty laundry. Only leaving him in his boxers. He started coughing uncontrollably. A hoarse sound escaping his mouth. He walked over to the night stand, and opened the bottle of pills sitting on top of it. He placed 2 pills in his mouth and took a long drink of water, from the glass by the pills. He coughed slightly, his throat still hoarse. He crawled into bed slowly, his body aching with pain. He pulled the covers tightly around himself, as he slowly closed his eyes and falling into a hopefully, peaceful sleep.
