The bedroom was quiet. Nothing could be heard. Everyone sat quietly, as they watched Justin's life slowly slip away. He was fading fast. The cancer taking over his now, fragile body. Tears flooded everyone's eyes. Any minute, their beloved friend, son, and husband would pass on. Sabina sighed softly and sadly as she examined the room. Her eyes were red and puffy. Crying non-stop as she stayed by her husband's side.
"I'm glad you all are here." She began. A small tear slipping down her cheek. Before she began to speak again, a soft moan came from behind her. She quickly turned her head. Her eyes growing wide and a small smile crossing her lips.
A pair of blue eyes were looking back at her. Though, they didn't look the same. He was extremely skinny. His skin had lost his color, he was pale. His lips were chapped and white. But his eyes were unbearable. Dark circles around them, his eyes were slightly sucked in. Everyone's eyes brimmed with tears as they carefully watched Justin. Justin smiled weakly as he looked at Sabina. He cleared his throat. A hoarse and raspy sound coming from it, as he slowly began to speak.
"It's good to see all of you." He said, no louder than a whisper. He coughed slightly as he looked at Sabina. "Where's JR.?" He questioned. "Where's my son? Bring me my son." He begged, his eyes brimming with tears. Sabina nodded as she quickly stepped out of the room. Moments later, she walked back into the room, Justin JR. in her arms. A smile crossed Justin's face, as he slowly took Justin JR. in his arms. He cleared his throat as he softly began to speak. "My son... My pride and joy. You don't know how much I'm going to miss you son.” He said, tears building up in his eyes. "I'm sorry I won't be here to show you how to play basketball... How to dance... Or how to sing... But that's why you have mommy also." He said, a slight laugh coming from the room. Tears rolled down his cheeks as he placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. "Take care of mommy for me..." He took a deep and heavy breath. "I love you son." He slowly placed his son in JC's arms. Justin moaned quietly. His body growing weaker. He talked to his mother, father. Step-father, step-mother. Brother and friends. Telling them his final "I love you's" and "Good-bye's."
"Sabina." He said softly. He slowly took her hands in his, holding them as tight as he could. "My love... My life... And my precious wife." He slowly began. "How much I'm going to miss your smile, your laugh, your voice... And your love. You've given me so much in my short life. I couldn't be more grateful to have a wonderful person like you." He coughed slightly, his life slowly fading away. He took a deep breath, as he slowly continued. "My life has never been the same since I met you. To me, love has no other meaning but to live forever. My heart is blooming, it's almost killing me. But whenever I was with you, I saw nothing the same. In your eyes, you gave me strength. In your heart, you gave me love. And in your mind, I received your blessing. To me, that was all I needed in my life." Tears trickled it's way down his cheeks. He was breathing heavily. His life was coming to an end. He slowly moved his eyes up. Taking a good and longing look at the person sitting beside him. He took a deep breath as he slowly said, "I love you."
A small smile crossed Sabina's face. Tears slowly slipping down her cheeks. "I love you too." She said, as she placed a soft, gentle kiss on his forehead.
Justin smiled slightly, as he slowly lifted his hand to her face. He softly caressed her cheeks, slowly bringing her face towards his, as their lips captured one another in perfection, filled with passion, love, and emotion. He slowly pulled away, placing a tiny, gentle kiss on her lips. He slowly caressed her cheeks, as he softly and slowly said, "I...... Love...... You." He slowly closed his eyes, as his hand slowly and gently fell from her cheek.... He was gone.
