* 2 months later *
"Lance, it was only a dream, it isn't real. Just forget about it already." Sylvia said, as she and Lance sat in her and Justin's living room.
Lance shook his head. Ever since that dream he had, he hasn't been able to get it out of his mind. "Sylvia, I'm telling you. I haven't seen my daughter since she was 2. I haven't even heard from her or Ashley, so how the hell could Ashley know I'm dating Julia?"
Sylvia sighed. "Well, you are a pop star. Your life and image is practically broadcast all around the world."
Lance sighed, as he buried his head within his hands. "Oh god... What am I going to do Sylvia? What am I going to do?"
Sylvia sighed. "Well, for one thing. You better not break up with Julia."
Lance laughed slightly. "Oh don't worry, I already decided I wasn't going to do that." He smiled.
Sylvia smiled. "Ok and secondly... Soon or later, you’re going to have to tell Julia about Allison."
Lance sighed deeply. "But, when?"
Sylvia shrugged her shoulders. "I dunno sweetie... She's touring right now. She has 5 more cities and then she's back in Orlando, that'll give you enough time to think."
Lance nodded. "All right. I'll think about it." He smiled, as he leaned over and gave her a hug. Seconds later, the front door opened.
"Honey I'm home!" Justin yelled, as he closed the door. He set his things by the table and entered the living room. "Hey Lance what up man?" He said, as he shook Lance's hand. "Hey honey." He said, as he took a seat next to Sylvia.
Sylvia smiled. "Hi baby." She said, and planted a soft kiss on his lips.
"So, what are you all talking about?"
Sylvia sighed. "Julia and Lance."
Justin nodded his head. "Oh... That dream still bothering you?"
Lance nodded. "Yeah... I just can't get it out of my head."
"Just don't worry about it yo."
"I'll try." Lance said. Then an enormous smile lit his face. "Well, I do have something that can get it out of my mind."
"And, what is that? Both Justin and Sylvia said.
Lance smiled wider as he pulled out a small box from his pocket. He smiled, and handed it to Sylvia. Sylvia took the box, as she and Justin examined it. Sylvia slowly opened the box, her eyes nearly popping out of her socket. "Oh my...." She said. It was a gold ring, with a big white diamond in the middle. "Lance... Are you...." She began as she and Justin looked at him.
Lance nodded, smiling happily. "Yup... I'm going to ask Julia to marry me." He said proudly.
Sylvia squealed, as she wrapped her arms around Lance. "Oh my gosh... This is too good to be true."
"So, when you popping the BIG question?" Justin asked.
Lance smiled. "When she gets back from her tour. 5 more days."
Justin nodded. He smiled. "Is it going to be something special?"
Lance nodded. "Oh yeah...” He smiled, as he told Sylvia and Justin what he was going to do.
* 1 week later *
Lance smiled, as he and Julia entered the dim lit restaurant. Right behind them, JC and his girlfriend Chrissy, Justin and his wife Sylvia, Chris and his girlfriend Michelle, and Joey and his wife Kelly. They all reached the front counter. The young French man, smiled at them and quickly seated them. They took their seats. They quickly ordered their drinks and food. "So, are you going to tell me why we're here at Les Gorman?" Julia asked, in her little French accent.
Lance smiled, he shook his head. "Nope... You're gonna have to wait."
Sylvia and Justin turned not to laugh. They knew Julia was in for a surprise. A few hours had passed them by. They were all done eating, just seating back and chatting away.
"Okay Julia... I think it's time for you to know, why we are here." He stood up. "Um... Excuse me. Can I have everyone's attention please." Everyone in the restaurant sat quiet as they listened. "I want everyone here to witness what I am about to do." He cleared his throat, as he began to speak once again. "Julia, I brought you here to do something that I've wanted to do for a long time now. I brought Justin, Sylvia, JC, Joey, Chris, and of course Kelly, Chrissy, and Michelle, here tonight because I want our friends to hear this. I want them and everyone else to know how much I truly love you and that no matter what; I'm always going to be there for you. Because I love you." He brought out the box and got down on one knee. He opened it slowly to reveal the gold diamond ring placed inside. "Julia Paulina Davis." He slowly slid the ring onto her finger. "Will you marry me?"
Julia sat still in her seat. Everyone in the restaurant quiet, waiting for her to respond. She smiled. "Yes! Yes yes yes yes!" She cried, as she jumped into his arms. Everyone clapped, as they saw them. "Yes Lance. Yes yes I'll marry you!" She said, kissing him.
Lance laughed, as he held her tightly within his arms. "I love you Julia."
"I love you too Lance."
* Later that night *
"Oh my gosh Sylvia, I've never been so happy in my entire life!" Julia said happily, as she talked on the phone with Sylvia.
"Awe, I'm glad for you Julz... You deserve it."
Julia laughed. "Okay, enough about me... Let's talk about you... So, tell me... Are you going to tell Justin about, you know?"
"Uh, I dunno if I should."
"I dunno Julz... I'm... Well.... Scared."
"Why should you be scared?"
"I dunno... I'm scared on how he's going to react if I tell him."
"Well, how else is he supposed to react?"
"I dunno, but listen I have to go, Justin will be home soon."
"All right, Lance just got here. See you tomorrow. Nite."
Sylvia hung up the phone.
"Honey I'm home." Justin yelled as he entered the house.
Sylvia smiled. "Hey baby." She said.
Justin smiled, as he wrapped his arms around her, capturing her lips with his. "How you doing?"
"Good, now that your here." They both laughed, as their lips captured one another. As they pulled apart, Justin's smile quickly disappeared as he saw Sylvia's eyes roll back.
"Oh my God! Sylvia! Sylvia!" He lifted her in his arms and carried her to their room. He placed her gently on top of the bed and ran in the bathroom. He placed a damp washcloth on her forehead. Minutes later, her eyes fluttered open. "Sylvia? Oh my god. Baby, are you ok?"
Sylvia moaned softly. "Yeah... I'm ok.... What happened?"
Sylvia sighed. "Oh."
"Are ok? Do you want me to call a doctor?"
She laughed slightly. "No no sweetie, I'm fine really."
"Are you sure?" He asked, concern filling his voice.
Sylvia smiled. "I'm positive."
"Ok.. Let's go to sleep."
Sylvia nodded. She slowly got under the covers, Justin helping her as she covered herself. Justin pulled off his shirt and pants, leaving him in his boxers. He got into bed and turned off the light. "Nite baby." He said, placing a soft gentle kiss on Sylvia's lips.
"Nite." She said, as they both drifted off to sleep.
* The next morning *
"Baby we need to talk." Justin said, entering the kitchen, finding Sylvia, Lance, and Julia talking.
"About what sweetie?"
"Last night... Why did you faint?"
Sylvia swallowed the knot forming in her throat. "Uh... Well, uh...." She stuttered, as she looked at Justin, then Julia and Lance.
"Sylvia, just tell him. It's been 3 weeks, I think it's time." Julia said. She thought it was time for Justin to know what was going on.
Justin looked at Julia confused. "Time for what?" His eyes moved towards Sylvia. She was looking at him worryingly. "Sylvia what are you hiding? Are cheating on me?" He asked, a tone of anger, jealously, and sadness rising in his voice.
Sylvia shook her head. "No no, not at all. I would never cheat on you."
"Well.... Then what is it?"
Sylvia sighed, as she slowly walked up to him. Her body facing him. "Justin, I have something to tell you." She said, placing her hands on her stomach.
"What? What is it?"
She sighed, as she looked deep into his soulful blue eyes. "You’re going to be a daddy."
