New
website is up as you can see. It's only a tempory
one but it should do us for now.
Also,
I'll be giving you all details shortly of how
to help contribute to the server payment. The
server doesn't pay for itself and the first month
the cost was split between three of us and the
second month Greg had to pay it all. Although
admittedly that was because we had a mini-crisis.
Either way, we need to get Gregs money back to
him and then make sure nothing like this happens
again

AOL
will soon be gone, July 1st my contract with them
expires so, hopefully by about July 10th at latest
I'll have decided on, and installed a new ISP
(so if you dont hear from me for a short while
after July 1st that's why). Also some other news.

to take legal action against cheat websites!
Valve
Software have decided upon taking legal action
against some of the larger cheat websites. These
sites offer cheats for Counter-Strike along with
other online games.
Only
2 months ago the gaming community witnessed a
massive increase in VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) updates,
most of which were played down and kept quiet
by Valve, in a bid to silently catch some of the
cheats that run rampant on gaming servers worldwide.
On
Monday 21st June, Gabe Newell of Valve Software
made a post on the Half-Life 2 Fallout forums
confirming this course of action
"We've
started taking legal action against cheating (cheat-sites,
cheat creators,...) both in the US and abroad.
This is in addition to the on-going investments
in anti-cheating technology. You'll see reports
of this percolating up as various actions happens."

new announcement from Valve Software holds a strong
message, if you cheat you face a steam ban and
if you host a cheat site you could be facing legal

After
a few hours of CS (Aaran were where you!? ) I've
decided on the new name for me. It came about
after a spelling error resulted in simply 'SoLiD'
instead of 'SoLiD SnAkE' so after not noticing
until a few rounds later I decided I'd keep it;
SoLiD it is . Also I've been practicing lately
(not too much but a bit) so I should be 'fresh'
for our first clan match. I'll also email every
member soon with my address and then you can all
send up the money for the server (£5 each!)
and then I'll get on Game-Serve's back as to exact
details of WHEN the CS servers will be available
to hire.

Some
news for you all, firstly my exams are over (yey)
so I'll be spending more time on CS and MOH (hopefully)
but I start A2 course on the 21st so not TOO much
time I'm afraid (damn). Secondly we'll be hiring
our server from game-serve soon. £27 a month
for a 14 man or £31.50 for a 16 man - ventrilo
dedicated server included. Not a bad price, not
bad at all. That'll be in about two weeks I've
been told as the servers have not yet been activated.
Be patient - the server will soon be up =) .
In
other news I've now officialy quit HFA as has
Django so we're now =[DcU]= only. We're also closer
to getting sponsorship but I dont want to say
too much in case I jinx it. I've also been thinking
about perhaps changing my CS name to keep Cerci
as a MOH only name. Any suggestions apart from
'idiot' or 'muppet' etc then feel free to email
me them

Two
new members, Raddish and H2S are now in the clan
with others expressing an interest about possibly
joining in the near future. We're looking into
servers and so far we'll either be going with
Jolt or Game-Serve (we're wating for them to publish
their price list for CS servers). Anyway, I'll
put up more news when I get more news. Also we're
looking into getting someone to design a website
for D<s>C - if their site looks good I might
have the same thing done for this clan.

Today
I made the site, the email address, the domain
name, the guestbook and the message boards. I
doubt much more work will be put into this site
or the clan until at least my exams are over (finish
on the 14th). After that I need to change my ISP
because AOL lags far too much. Once I've got a
lag free connection and no more exams I'll be
able to 'launch' the clan. I also need to look
into sponsorship to see if I can get us a cheaper
price on a server - at the moment it's probably
going to be a 14 player server - which allows
us to do 7:7 which should be more than adequete
for now.
