Aaron Petersen's Final Project for Problem Solving

These are the required terms that we were asked to define.

Information Technology - The creation of new technology. Personal Computer - A computer built around a microprocessor for use by an individual.
Needs Assessment - Something required or wanted.
Operating System - Software designed to control the hardware of a specific data-processing system in order to allow users and application programs to make use of it.
High versus Machine Language - Machines often "talk" in code, as in binary.
GUI - a user interface based on graphics.
Computer Network - A system of computers interconnected by telephone wires or other means in order to share information.
WWW Versus Internet - WWW = World Wide Web
TCP/IP - Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol
Ethernet - coaxial cable carries radio frequency signals between computers at a rate of 10 megabits per second.
Bandwiths - The speed at which information travels through a network or internet.
ISPs - A company inwhich provide a gateway to the internet
Streaming Video - A steady flow of video from the internet.
MPG - MPEG format file (file name extension).
AVI - Audio Video Interleaved.
Virtual Enviroments - An enviroment like a chat room.
Visual Basic - A popular event-driven visual programming system from Microsoft Corporation for Microsoft Windows.
C++ - C Object-Oriented Programming Language.
Batch Files - A group of files
Object Oriented Programming - Programming which consist of mostly objects
Browser - A program that accesses and displays files and other data available on the Internet and other networks.
HTML - Hypertext Markup Language
Static Web Page - A page that is frozen.
Interactive Web Page - A webpage which you can, play games, watch videos etc.
URL - Uniform Resource Locator (world wide web address)
