We had a big weekend with our annual Halloween bash on Saturday night, Boo in the Zoo on Sunday and of couse kids party and tick or treating on Monday. Jake was a giraffe but did not like to wear the hood.

Jake at the Italian Festival

Although it was cloudy and cold we went to Old Town for an Italian Fest, there was nothing really to see but we had some Gellato and spent lots of time with the juggler. Jake ran into the big fountain and I had to fish him out, every mothers nightmare!

Fall Cleaning

We just got back from a trip to Greensboro to visit family and of course look for houses. John and Jake took the opportunity to clean the hot tub and work on the lawn after we got back. Jake's best friend, Joshka, was over that day and helped clean the hot tub.

Jake's Big Boy Bed

Jake finally switched to a big boy toddler bed last week and well....... saying goodbye was not as easy as we thought. Jake LOVES to jump on his new bed, get out about 100 times before actually falling asleep, and falls out at 3:00 am in the morning. We put pillows on the floor now, so he lands in a soft place. We hope this puts a stop to "Monny,head hurt" in the middle of the night. Aside from the bed, he is now into puzzles and trains. We watch Thomas the Train EVERY day and play with his wood train set every afternoon. His favorite color is "lellow." If you ask him what color is that..... it's always yellow. "Jake Cousteau" loves water and will play in the sink, hose, pool, or hot tub anytime of day which contributes to the four different changes of clothes we go through each day. On a sad note, today is our first day without our neighbors Terry and John, we miss them terribly already and Jake still does not get it. He has been running over all day looking for "gandma". Hopefully we will go down and see them soon in Christiansburg.
