Enterprise, eh...

Just having a little fun...

Post Chosen...

The doors open with a swoosh...

A slight, but handsome brown-blonde haired man enters with a firm stride...Even with his small frame and in his rather ordinary street clothes...black jacket, red shirt, black trousers...He gives off an unmistakable air of something...More...

"Is this...the Enterprise...?" he begins and suddenly chokes off...Seeing...

From her chair, commanding a full view of the room, the short but attractive blonde young woman rises, her green eyes fixed on him...She gives a curt command to her assistant who had moved towards the man and he returns to his duties with a nod...

"William?..." she stares at him, coming to him...He blinks a bit at her...Summers?...Here?...

"So...You did pretty well after escaping the cavern, eh?..." he eyes her...

"And you're still a commander, I see..." he smiles at the assistant...

"Hard to believe we both wound up here..." he shakes his head a bit...

"You..." she glares... "I called and called after Angel and Wesley called Giles about you...You never returned one...Why?..."

"Nibs well...?" he looks at her...

"William!?..Damn you, why didn't you call me?!..."

"I thought it was best to let things be, pet..." he sighs...And looks her over coolly... "And I don't remember seeing you waiting by my side when I resurrected...Even with the full day it took for my new employer to run through the ceremony over the phone with Willow and Rupert..."

"I...I thought it was best to..."

"Hedge your bets?...Or cut your losses?...Like a good captain?..." he nods...

"Probably a wise strategy...And one I decided to employ myself, at last..."

"Will, please..." he puts up a hand...Buffy...

"Best to let things be, Commander Summers..." he pauses... "How is the little army by the bye?.."

"Giles got them back home...Where they had homes...Or to safe places where the new Council could look over them, train them..."

"Ah...And then you found yourself here...?" he looks round the room... "How'd you manage that..."

Willow...she explained...Ah...he nods...

And you?...she eyes him...

"Wesley suggested it...He's been here before for the agency on a mission..."

Oh...

"William?...If you'd just let me..."

"Explain?...Nothing to, love...You did what you could for me and I'm grateful to the bottom of my restored human soul...Thanks to you, I'm a man again..." he hesitates... "I was...Sorry...not to see you back there in LA that day but I understand...And I've no complaints to make to you, dear heart..."

And no desire to beat my head against a wall any more...Or have it beaten for me...he smiles...

"Anyway, to my business...I've need of Enterprise's services..." he grins...Looking at the large plaque proclaiming the name...Just above her chair...

She frowns but gives it up...For the moment...

There'd be more chances...After all he'd have to come back...

"The Spikemobile being at the bottom of the Great Sunnydale Crater and all..." he smiles...

"All right..." she sighs, pulling out a form...

"So what kind of car would you like...?"
